Mine Detectors

Just as a mine detector is used to reveal the presence of an IED, so the law reveals the presence of sin in the life of man. Yet the mine detector cannot disable the explosive device. That is not its function. It merely points to the reality of the threat. So the law was never meant to irradicate sin, but only to reveal it.
