The Gospel is intrinsically tied up with Christ’s coming to earth - abolishing death through His death and bringing life and immortality to light through His resurrection - this is the Good News.
Jesus died for my sins according to the Scriptures, was buried and rose again three days later - death conquered, eternal life made available in His death and resurrection.
- It was all planned before time but now that great plan has been revealed, grace is revealed in the coming of Jesus Christ [*John 1:14, 16-18* /And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him./]
- Note the emphasis on "revelation" (2 Tim 1:10 φανερωθεῖσαν, ἐπιφανείας, φωτίσαντος) - the mystery has been revealed, made known, manifest, brought to light.
