Judas

Judas is a tragic character
Judas means praise but no one will have that name
The Bible Exposition Commentary Chapter Twenty-Three: The King’s Preparation (Matthew 26:1–56)

He received power to heal (Matt. 10:1–4)

Not clean Satan found willing tool in Judas
John 13:10–11 NIrV
Jesus answered, “A person who has had a bath needs to wash only his feet. The rest of his body is clean. And you are clean. But not all of you are.” Jesus knew who was going to hand him over to his enemies. That was why he said not every one was clean.
The Bible Exposition Commentary Chapter Twenty-Three: The King’s Preparation (Matthew 26:1–56)

It was prophesied that one of Messiah’s close associates would betray Him, (Pss. 41:9; 55:12–14), but this fact does not relieve Judas of responsibility. We must not make him a martyr because he fulfilled this prophecy.

John 13:2 NIrV
The evening meal was being served. The devil had already tempted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon. He had told Judas to hand Jesus over to his enemies.
John 13:27–30 NIrV
As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. “Do quickly what you are going to do,” Jesus told him. But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. Judas was in charge of the money. So some of the disciples thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast. Others thought Jesus was talking about giving something to poor people. As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.
John 13:27 NIrV
As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. “Do quickly what you are going to do,” Jesus told him.

John 17:12 NIrV
“While I was with them, I guarded them. I kept them safe through the name you gave me. None of them has been lost, except the one who was sentenced to be destroyed. It happened so that Scripture would come true.

fact does not relieve Judas of responsibility. We must not make him a martyr because he fulfilled this prophecy.

Matthew 26:8–9 NIrV
When the disciples saw this, they became angry. “Why this waste?” they asked. “The perfume could have been sold at a high price. The money could have been given to poor people.”
Matthew 26:25 NIrV
Judas was the one who was going to hand him over. He said, “It’s not I, Rabbi, is it?” Jesus answered, “Yes. It is you.”
Matthew 26:25–26 NIrV
Judas was the one who was going to hand him over. He said, “It’s not I, Rabbi, is it?” Jesus answered, “Yes. It is you.” While they were eating, Jesus took bread. He gave thanks and broke it. He handed it to his disciples and said, “Take this and eat it. This is my body.”
Matthew 26:20–26 NIrV
When evening came, Jesus was at the table with the Twelve. While they were eating, he said, “What I’m about to tell you is true. One of you will hand me over to my enemies.” The disciples became very sad. One after the other, they began to say to him, “It’s not I, Lord, is it?” Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will hand me over. The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But how terrible it will be for the one who hands over the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.” Judas was the one who was going to hand him over. He said, “It’s not I, Rabbi, is it?” Jesus answered, “Yes. It is you.” While they were eating, Jesus took bread. He gave thanks and broke it. He handed it to his disciples and said, “Take this and eat it. This is my body.”
Matthew 26:19–20 NIrV
So the disciples did what Jesus had told them to do. They prepared the Passover meal. When evening came, Jesus was at the table with the Twelve.
Matt 26:2
Matthew 26:25 NIrV
Judas was the one who was going to hand him over. He said, “It’s not I, Rabbi, is it?” Jesus answered, “Yes. It is you.”
By Kiss he betrayed Jesus

Peter

Matthew 26:31–35 NIrV
Jesus told them, “This very night you will all turn away because of me. It is written that the Lord said, “ ‘I will strike the shepherd down. Then the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I rise from the dead, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” Peter replied, “All the others may turn away because of you. But I never will.” “What I’m about to tell you is true,” Jesus answered. “It will happen this very night. Before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.” But Peter said, “I may have to die with you. But I will never say I don’t know you.” And all the other disciples said the same thing.
Matthew 26:31–34 NIrV

Then the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I rise from the dead, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” Peter replied, “All the others may turn away because of you. But I never will.” “What I’m about to tell you is true,” Jesus answered. “It will happen this very night. Before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.”

Joseph and Nicodemus could very well have been in the garden waiting for Jesus to die. When they took Him from the cross, they defiled themselves and were not able to eat the Passover. But, what difference did it make? They had found the Lamb of God!
