Transition

How do we transition from one stage of life to another well?
Matthew 11:1–6 NASB95
1 When Jesus had finished giving instructions to His twelve disciples, He departed from there to teach and preach in their cities. 2 Now when John, while imprisoned, heard of the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples 3 and said to Him, “Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?” 4 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: 5 the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6 “And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.”
Matthew 11:4–6 TPT
4 Jesus answered them, “Give John this report: 5 ‘The blind see again, the crippled walk, lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised back to life, and the poor and broken now hear of the hope of salvation!’ 6 And tell John that the blessing of heaven comes upon those who never lose their faith in me—no matter what happens!”
Jesus is telling us that if we keep in faith we transition life’s stages well.
Isaiah 61:1 NASB95
1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners;
How do we keep in faith when we are not seeing what we want to see?
We remind ourselves:
Where Jesus is.
What Jesus has done.
What Jesus says.
What Jesus says about you, What He says will happen, What He says has happened.
Matthew 11:28–30 TPT
28 “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. 29 Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. 30 For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”
