What Does Scripture Say?
Questions Jesus Asks?
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel.
I am moved by what I believe.
I believe the WORD of God!
The victory is mine!
I have it now!
I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
New Series - What Does Scripture Say?
Work Hard or to Study means to put your heart into the word of God to understand what the word means for the purpose of seeking the approval of God.
The words "rightly divide" comes from a Greek word (ortho-to-mounta) which means to cut straight.
When we share or rightly divide the Word of God we are to cut straight to the truth;
Questions Jesus Asks?
I am amazed by how masterfully Jesus uses questions to teach spiritual truths.
Jesus never asked a question because he needed to know the answer.
He used questions the way a surgeon uses a scalpel, to delicately cut into a new level of understanding.
The answer to this question is critical, it is all-important.
It determines your eternal destiny.
How You answer this declares where your personal trust in Jesus Christ stands
Peter’s confession was made based on simple trust coming from a heart that was truly convicted that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God.
It the simple trust which God desires and longs for—nothing more and nothing less.
Peter was simply confessing step by step,
"I believe you are..."
• the true Messiah,
• not a mere man,
• but the Son of God,
• sent by God,
Jesus didn’t ask the question for his sake, because he knows who he is - He asked the question for You and I! To find out what we truly believe
What Do You Want?
What are you after?
Are you seeking... • meaning, purpose, and significance in life?
• a religion of self-improvement and human development?
• rules and regulations and laws of righteousness?
• fellowship and companionship?
• deliverance from trials and trouble and suffering?
• approval and acceptance of God?
• blessings from God, His care and provision and security?
Where Are You Staying?
They were not asking for a simple conversation by the side of the road.
They were asking to join Him in the quiet of His home, to open and pour out their hearts to Him and for Him to become their teacher.
Come and See
The invitation was immediate: it was while Andrew and his friend were attracted to Jesus.
They were invited to Jesus while they sensed their need.
Jesus did not postpone their request nor leave them hanging.
