Throughout the Gospel of John He is giving us a picture of Jesues as the Christ, the son of God.

John does not argue the point of Christ’s diety but jumps right into the statement that Christ was the beginning and that christ was with GOd in the beginning

Matthew begins his gospel with the genealogy of Christ then tells of his conception and Birth

Mark Begins with Christ’s baptisim

Luke begins by telling the announcement of his birth

However as we see here John goes back to the beginning he starts with the secound person of the trinity dwelling with God

John beins by looking into Christ’s background

He finds that Christ is eternal

IF you are not in christ you simply exist,

“He that hath not the son hath not life.

True life comes from Christ and Christ alone.

New life affects every part of you, Becomeing a christian should change you

Christ is the light

This verse is telling us that ligh shone and the darkness could not overcome it.

all the darkness can not put out onle little light

All sin can not canot put out the light of Christ.

The light of christv is everywhere.

but the world is not walking in that light.

lets supose you were in deep dark dungen, and the only hope you had for servival was to find a way out, obviously tou would be looking for a way out.

lets say that light then appeard which revealed stars which led to safty Would you walk in the light to get out ?

Today there are many dungens of sin the men in theese dungens have no hope but jesues shines in the darkness if they would just open there eyes they would see the light and find eternal life,
