Just Keep Praying

The New Testament repeatedly encourages us to 'pray continually' or to 'pray without ceasing'. But what does that actually mean? Does it mean praying three hour-long prayers every day? Does it mean one hundred one-minute prayers throughout the day? Does it mean praying non-stop while multitasking everything else in your day? Or does it mean a higher state of prayerful meditation in general? And if it's any of these, isn't it impossible to live up to? Doesn't it just make us feel bad, guilty and sub-par? Thankfully, we don't need to feel that way. Our prayer life is not about meeting a standard – it's about enjoying our walk with God. It's about communing with the One who has rescued us and who carries us. It's about revelling in prayer – together.
