Hebrews 5:12–14 NKJV
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

There is More to Christianity to Just getting through the week.

Hebrews 5:12 NKJV
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
I love inspiring people. its the joy of my life to inspire people, I don’t think that it is wrong to want to inspire people, especially Christians, especially Christians to action:
in their faith.
in depth of their biblical knowledge.
especially in deepening of there Christian character.
most people get saved and then “Christianize” our life goals.
as our minds are renewed our ideas of success etc etc change.
Hebrews 5:13 NKJV
13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
growth (according to this passage) depends on what your feeding on.
if I am a coffee cup Christian, I should not be supervised when my faith is as shallow as whatever coffee cup that I use. I use a pretty large coffee cup, but its not big enough to deal with the depth of your souls or the issues that perplex you.
Hebrews 5:14 NKJV
14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
the word of God is solid food.
when we read the word of God we have our senses exercised.
after the exercising senses exercised maturity comes.
when we come to exercise ourselves then we are mature.
the test of maturity is being able to discern Good and evil.

Letting the Bible read you is key to spiritual growth.

1 Peter 2:1–3 NKJV
1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
as we read the word and have our conscience exercised there are actions we must tale.
1 Peter 2:1 NKJV
1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
actions we must take:
lay aside all Malice,
all deceit,
Hypocrisy,
envy,
all evil speaking,
1 Peter 2:2 NKJV
2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
ok, this is a different author and a different passage.
here in this passage pure milk is different then the other.
here he wants the same thing READ THE WORD. read the word and grow.
1 Peter 2:3 NKJV
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
if you have no desire to grow I have to ask if you are saved.

The Church is not a country club, its a mission organization.

there are two phases of service in the Church as we serve one another.
Ephesians 4:15–16 NKJV
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
you and I are called to help one another.
we are called to the lost in the world.
Matthew 28:19–20 NKJV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
