Supernatural Gifts
We see in the life of the early disciples there was a reliance and dependance on the ministry of the Holy Spirit
The verse above indicates that they were “continually being filled” with the power of the Holy Spirit
It was not signs to convince the skeptics but in response to the faith of the believers!
The connection of faith i a powerful thing!
It produces results!
In Romans and Galatians, Paul clearly made a distinction and contrast between the new life in the Spirit and the old life of the flesh and sin.
In Corn.
and Ephesians he emphasizes the work of the Spirit both in the hearts of the believers and in the church
Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians expresses a deep concern over the new converts.
There had been a mighty move of the Spirit that had birthed the church.
Paul was concerned that persecution might dampen the mode!

Both are made effective in our lives by the Holy Spirit…both require our full response!

It reminds us that participation in Gods kingdom requires faith!
Now the blessings of Abraham comes to all nations through Christ.
Then both Jew and gentile who have faith may receive the Spirit!
Christ’s death not only saved us from the fires of hell but made it possible for us to receive all the blessings that go with being a member of God’s household!
The term “crying out” here indicates an intense fervency, and urgency from the depths of the heart for His work
The work of the Spirit in us should produce a burning desire to fulfill what God has give for us to accomplish!
Are you burning today for things of God? Are you pursuing Him and all He has for with everything in your life?
I challenge you today to seek Him with all your heart and you will find Him!
