The Posture of Learning: Service
You know when I hear that song.
Any doctors in the house? Doctor the doctor would tell you when you go into the medical room. That's what I do. You ain't got to worry. That's what I do. You don't kiss when you go in the classroom.
Teaching is what I do. We going to do some learning this morning trash man. Come by your house. You know, he don't bring you you don't bring you flowers. He picked up your trash can and then throw your trash in the truck and it keeps on going if you stopping music. That's what I do. You got to be able to tell yourself late in the Midnight Hour. posture of learning Call service. last week we we started in St. Luke chapter 10, and I asked you to read chapter 10. Did you read it anybody read chapter 10? Don't like you in church. Overtime your resentment will grow.
You will think that the church is not spiritual anymore. But it has nothing to do with the spiritual needs of the church. It has everything to do with the condition of your heart your heart can become so cold and cash that you start to tell God what he supposed to do. You start to tell God how he's supposed to bring people into your life. If you are God you will do this. Any other that my friends is a resentment that is growing toward hatred.
You got to watch it Martha went from excited about having guests. Did she went to a place of I'm resenting them instead of seeking to please God in the service of others. We slip into a a pleasing self by serving ourselves by pleasing self by serving others looking for praise and accolades. Adulation we look for somebody to braise us. That happens a lot in the church.
Please my friends and I'm almost done. Never take a position in any church or any job? That you don't believe God has called you to it.
God has not called you to it pass on it. You do more damage and said what they didn't have nobody else so I did it.
The worst thing you can ever do is to take on a position and say because nobody else would do it. I did it.
My brothers and sisters we seen this right history that it doesn't work in a marriage some men and women have stayed marriage because they said I don't like my wife. I don't like my husband, but I want to stay there for my children.
