Our Story

Hebrews 12:2 MEV
Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Our Story of Faith is being authored by God from the time when he knew us before he placed us in our mothers womb to the time our life on this earth comes to an end.
We are directed in the book of Joshua to not look to the right or to the left. We are told to be Strong and Very Courageous numerous times.
In Hebrew’s God is directing us to keep our eyes upon Jesus as his Story shows us that life is precious yet filled with perils that without faith can cause us to get off the path that leads us to eternal life with him. His life shows us that regardless of the peril we can face it with Joy we can endure anything placed in our path.
At times as we walk this life we forget our faith while looking to the left and the right we lose our joy thus we lose our courage and our strength. No not at times but many times we forget our faith.
Proverbs 16:9 MEV
A man’s heart devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
However God does not lose faith he continues his pursuit of our heart.
Proverbs 5:21 MEV
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his goings.
I would like to tell you a story.
There were ninety and nine that safely lay In the shelter of the fold; But one was out on the hills away, Far off from the gates of gold. Away on the mountains wild and bare; Away from the tender Shepherd’s care.“Lord, Thou hast here Thy ninety and nine; Are they not enough for Thee?” But the Shepherd made answer: “This of Mine Has wandered away from Me. And although the road be rough and steep, I go to the desert to find My sheep.”But none of the ransomed ever knew How deep were the waters crossed; Nor how dark was the night the Lord passed through Ere He found His sheep that was lost. Out in the desert He heard its cry; ’Twas sick and helpless and ready to die.“Lord, whence are those blood-drops all the way, That mark out the mountain’s track?” “They were shed for one who had gone astray Ere the Shepherd could bring him back.” “Lord, whence are Thy hands so rent and torn?” “They’re pierced tonight by many a thorn.”And all through the mountains, thunder-riv’n, And up from the rocky steep, There arose a glad cry to the gate of heav’n, “Rejoice! I have found My sheep!” And the angels echoed around the throne, “Rejoice, for the Lord brings back His own!”
Elizabeth C. Clephane
Luke 16:3-7
Luke 15 MEV
Now all the tax collectors and sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. But the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” So He told them this parable, saying, “What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he places it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Then when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’ Likewise, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous men who need no repentance. “Or what woman, having ten silver coins and losing one, does not light a candle and sweep the house and search diligently until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost.’ Likewise, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Then He said, “A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the property that falls to me.’ So he divided his estate between them. “Not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together, and journeyed to a distant country, and there squandered his possessions in prodigal living. When he had spent everything, there came a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in want. So he went and hired himself to a citizen of that county, who sent him into his fields to feed swine. He would gladly have filled his stomach with the husks that the swine were eating, but no one gave him any. “When he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have an abundance of bread, and here I am perishing with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ So he arose and came to his father. “But while he was yet far away, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran and embraced his neck and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him. And put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet. Bring here the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and be merry. For this son of mine was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ So they began to be merry. “Now his older son was in the field. As he came and drew near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what this meant. He said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him safe and sound.’ “He was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and entreated him. But he answered his father, ‘Look! These many years have I served you. Nor have I ever transgressed your commands, yet never have you given me a goat, so that I might be merry with my friends. But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your living with harlots, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ “He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. But it was fitting to be merry and be glad, for this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ ”
Luke 15
Luke 15:3–7 MEV
So He told them this parable, saying, “What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he places it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Then when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’ Likewise, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous men who need no repentance.
:3-7
Richard’s life was that of a lost sheep his faith led him to a belief that Jesus was his Lord and Savior, but at some point the distractions from the path led him astray. This is where the Lord’s pursuit of him never stopped the Lord continued to ponder all of Richards goings. The Lord continued to work All things together for Richards life. As it is written in.
Romans 8:28 MEV
We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Richard was called according to God’s purpose. Danny told me that he asked Richard are you okay with God. Danny wanted to know was it well with Richard’s soul. Richard knew what Danny meant and he answered him Yes it is well with my soul. He said yes. In the end God found his sheep and he placed him on his should and carried him home.
2 Corinthians 7:14 MEV
So I am not ashamed if I have boasted of anything to him regarding you. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, even our boasting in the presence of Titus is found to be true.
1 Corinthians 7:14 MEV
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean. But now they are holy.
John 14:3 MEV
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, you may be also.

Altar Call

I have laid before you a story of a man that at some point in his life accepted Jesus as his savior. He strayed from the sheepfold and endured many trail and tribulations. But God never took his eye off of him, God never stopped pursuing him. When he came to the place that the distractions could no longer lead him astray he again submitted himself to his shepherd and went with him as he took him home.
I ask you all today is God pursuing you? Maybe you were once part of the sheepfold and have strayed away, maybe you have never know him but you have often felt the pull on your heart to submit to him. Maybe during this time of sorrow you fell him now as he promises to comfort you are feeling that drawing. I implore you don’t miss the opportunity to be free.
