A man in Pennsylvania did this for a year. He never left his house.
Well think about it.

Two love birds named Jessica and Kenny are set to get married without ever meeting face to face. They fell in love online through a foreign language-learning website last year.
Jessica, an 18-year-old from Brazil, had listed that she wanted to learn English and Dutch, but was initially skeptical when Kenny, 23, reached out to her from Belgium to talk.
But he quickly convinced her, and she soon fell in love with him from afar and hey haven't stopped talking since. She even finds herself "sleeping with the webcam on."
"Laughing and talking about everything and nothing, we started knowing more and more of each other," she wrote last month on "Love9000km Away," the couple's blog chronicling their relationship.
According to many you can live online.

Church
What about going to Church?
Kingdom Way already streams our messages on Youtube, facebook, twitter. live
We’re working towards being able to stream our entire service.
When is 40 below and 10 feet of snow or you just don’t feel like getting out of bed
just turn on your phone and your in Church!
And if you don’t like what one preacher is saying or the music the worship team is playing
simply switch to another page.
There’s 1000’s more out there to choose from.
The truth is you can do alot of things online, but would you really want to do everything?
I’m not going to speak to the other issues I brought up. to each their own. i think there are some real advantages to to using the internet to make like simplier.
not having to deal with traffic, or the weather. spend an entire day in your pajamas
home is comfortable!
But what I want to focus on is should we use the internet to meet our Church going needs?
Why is it still Relevant to get together on Sunday?
In this day of technology where most people have more computing power in their phone that NASA used to send astronauts to the moon.
Does it still make sense to get together on a Sunday?
Afterall
You can watch online
You can give online
You can interact online
Well there are things God expects of us that we cannot do well online.
When we take a look at how the early church functioned we get a perspective from
Acts 2:42 NASB95
They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
I would consider this the essential basics of what a church is called to do
1. Teaching
I don’t pretend to be the best preacher, but I do believe God uses me to share His heart with His people.
Yes there are many better teachers/preachers. There are Pastor who have entire teams working for them to prepare the best messages.
You can go online and hear many great preachers.
But the difference is the messages God gives me is for the people of this Church in this season we are in.
there are 1000’s of possible messages you can glean from the Bible
Part of the challenge of every Pastor is to preach not only the right message but also in the right timing!
It’s not as easy as just standing up on a stage a regurgitating someone else’s message.
It takes time to seek God’s face and discover what it is He wants to say to his people.
This month I am celebrating 25 years of ministry in this Church
I can’t tell you the number of times early on in my ministry, I would prepare a message, stand up to deliver it and God would tell me that’s not the right message for today. I want you to share this instead.
It was frustrating, but exciting at the same time
I have dozens upon dozens of sermons I’ve never preached because I didn’t understand the timing.
2. Fellowship
Another of the primary reason to gather together is for Fellowship or if you like a modern word community
Is rather challenging to service a community online its often too impersonal
A community means your part of something bigger than yourself
that you have a role to play that you can accomplish
and that you are better together
Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 NASB95
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
One of the primary things we are called to do in community is we serve together to meet the needs of one another in the community,
Ill: Barn raising
We are also called to reach out beyond our community to serve those on the outside
Service
Galatians 5:13 NASB95
For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
This is something that takes personal care and attention. You must be involved in your service.
you can’t get someone else to do it for you like getting someone to pick up your groceries
In order to serve one another, it takes time, resources, skills & abilities that you must first be willing to contribute.
And this is God’s expectation of us.
That we learn to serve one another.
Not to get anything for ourselves, but to give to others out of the Blessings God has given us.
We can make up alot of excuses. too busy, too tired, not talented, no-one asked?
but in the end they are just excuses forcing you to miss out on what God has for you!
So what are some ways you can serve?
well we as a church have many opportunities for you to get involved in ministry
this is not a complete list, but these are opportunities
Most of these are 1 /month and we will train and support you
You can get more information without making a commitment under after you are comfortable.

You can also contribute by given of finances.
this is a entire message of its own.
but as a church we’ve struggled over the past many months
we’ve only met our monthly budget twice this year
Back in the spring we had to lay off Pastor Rick, and Pastor Stan retired.
In July we had the lowest giving month in at least 6 years.
I don’t want this to be a discouragement, but as a church you need to be aware of the financial climate
I ask you to pray for financial increase in our church, not only for Kingdom Way, but also for those who give faithfully.
I don’t enjoy talking about this, so I’ve decided to start a monthly email/print giving a summary to our membership.
It will be called Kingdom Business. and if your a member you’ll get it in your email and mailbox.
If your not a member don’t worry about it
We learn to serve by serving one another
then we grow the church by serving those outside our walls
Acts 20:35 NASB95
“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
People who serve others are the happiest people on earth.
Another aspect of fellowship is
Encouragement
Hebrews 10:25 NASB95
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Are we closer today to Christs return than they were 2000 yeas ago? YES
So it’s more important now than ever before!
One of the primary reasons we come together is to encourage one another,
sure you can do that online, but its so much more effective to do it in person.
A hug emoji is not quite the same as a real hug. just saying
For those of you who’s love language is touch, the internet won’t be helping you there!
So when we get together. let’s each make sure we are actually an encouragement to one another.
How about this. Before you come to church, ask God how you can be an encouragement to someone.
Focus your attention on that instead of your own situations
One of the ways we want to help facilitate the opportunity to encourage one another is by expanding our service times. we going to adjust our start time back to 10 am.
Sept 22 we have breakfast at 9:30 and then start at 10:30
Sept 29 we will begin our new format
10:00 start
We understand people have kids and require longer travel
but we really want to facilitate increased relationships within our congregation.
So time will be given for fellowship in the extended format
that brings us to
3. Breaking of Bread
Eating together is one of the best ways to get to know someone.
That’s why we do the connection Sunday. 1st Sunday of every month be do a potblessed dinner and eat together
on the 22 we going to start with a pancake breakfast (Help required)
If you skip the breakfast, you will miss out on the fellowship so come early
1 Corinthians 11:33–34 NASB95
So then, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that you will not come together for judgment. The remaining matters I will arrange when I come.
4. Prayer
Ephesians 6:18 ESV
praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
Pray together, when you get together to encourage one another, but instead of beginning with the weather. ask
“How can I pray for you today”
then pray for them
Its often easier to ask a friend for prayer than to respond to the altar.
Romans 8:11 NASB95
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Conclusion.
1 Thessalonians 3:12–13 NASB95
and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.
Let’s pray
