What did John testify?
and Who was it about?
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
V 33 Jesus said the what John said is true
V 34 Jesus uses us to do His work
uses different people to say the same thing
what some one else says clicks in our brains and we “get it”
V 35 He was a lamp - that was shining
Shining lamps tell about Jesus
We are Jesus to the world - Do others want to bask in the light you are shining?

V 36 The works The Father sent me to do
Heal the cripple man Made him run, skip, and jump for joy
turn water into wine
calmed the storm
blind see, deaf hear, raise the dead,
the Apostle John says the miracles are a sign that says “Jesus is God
these are all confirming that I am Jehovah
V 37 The works of the Holy Spirit in their hearts- these men knew who Jesus was but was rejecting the knowledge
Thus the knowledge was not in their hearts
V 39 the scriptures tell of Jesus
the nation of Israel today diligently search the scriptures, yet reject Jesus their Messiah
V 40 they are searching for eternal life in the scriptures- and still reject Jesus the one who has eternal life
V 43 if another comes claiming to be me you will accept him -Antichrist
V 44 Ambition is an enemy of the truth. they want fame and recognition. megachurch, mega-band, mega-stardom, mega-money
you reject the Father in place of fame
Jesus is rejected in place of power
churches are big on the Jesus talk they sound holy, and righteous
but they are like the praying pharisee “I do all the right things, thank you that I’m not a sinner”
V 45 Not I, but Moses will accuse you
if they don’t believe Moses, they will not believe bigger and better evidence
if we don't believe and act on what we have been taught, hundreds of Bible classes, sermons, readings,
we will not grow, mature, we will lose what we had
Stewardship Is a manager of someone else’s property
Gods word is something to be stewards of
use it for good works
apply it to our lives
we say we believe all the things that was said about Him in this message
now we need to go live like its true
