Whoa, Man!

Good morning church.

Good to see you guys this morning. I am privileged to be speaking here this morning. Just before we get started, I just want to let you know this recording is going to be online. Let's bow our heads for a word of prayer.

Father, God, we thank You for Your Presence being in this place. We thank You that forgiveness is ours in Christ Jesus — even right now as we sit here. What He did He accomplished perfectly. For He spoke, on the cross, that 'It is finished!' And so, Father, we bring to You everything that we failed to do this week. The faith that we did not walk in that You required of us to walk in this week, Father. We just want to come to You on bended knee and with bow down hearts surrendered in humility to You to say, "Here we are. Here we are to give You us, once again." We need to hear Your word. We need to be empowered by what it is that You have to say, today. So, Father, cause me to decrease that You may increase. Let it not be me that speaks, but let it be Your Spirit that speaks the Word to Your people. We are hungry for You, Father. We know that there are voids in our heart that need to be filled and they can only be filled by You. So teach us, today, what it is that we need to know that we may be able to walk this walk truly by faith. Father, we desire that before we leave this earth — before You call us home to You — that You accomplish in us everything that You created us for — that You would be pleased before we take our last breath and that You would look down and say, 'Well done, My good and faithful servant.' Be glorified in all that we do in this life, Father. I thank You and I praise You. We love You and ask that this message will be blessed so that it will be a blessing to Your people. In Jesus Christ's Name, we pray. Amen! Amen! Well, this morning we're going to dig into the Word. So get your education hats on. I might throw some questions out there. I'm a teacher, I'm not a preacher. So, you know, it's time to get challenge. today. We're going to look at a very familiar passage of scripture. But the one thing that just bothers me is every time a preacher goes to a familiar passage of scripture, what do we typically do? We think we know what it means. Cuz we've heard the story so many times we think we know what it means. We think we've exhausted everything out of that passage. So today I want to, before we actually get into the passage, I want to massage your thinking (before we get into it) so I can hopefully get you to come to the passage with a clean slate. I want you to get rid of what you think you know about this story and look at it from a different perspective. All right? So when we look at perspective — What is perspective perspective? Perspective is a noun and it comes from a Latin word, which is "per - specere". Okay. The word "per" means through and "specere" means to spy. So when you're looking at something from a different perspective or from a perspective, what you're doing is you're spying out. Now when you think of a spy: spies are quiet; they have a plan. You just don't walk up and spy, right? You create a plan to go spy. So imagine attacking or looking at the Word of God from that perspective. Imagine going to the Word of God to go deep. Imagine going into the Word of God with a plan to say, "I'm about to look at this thing intently. Not just through the lens I've always been looking at it through." That's the idea of perspective. The old ancient way of the word perspective simply means telescope. It's an optical glass. So it means a telescope. So if you wanted see something far far away you'd need a telescope, right? Well guess what? The Word is so deep, and the Word can be so far, that you need to spend time studying. The Word says to study yourself to be approved (2 Timothy 2:15). Right? Study to be approved by God. It doesn't say have devotion time. You know what devotion is, reading the Bible in 365 days a year. That's great. Go ahead and read through the Bible all year. That's great to have devotion. It's great that you go to church and you know you get some messages. But it is more important (than all of that) that you take personal time out to study the Word of God. It's much more important for you to do that. Perspective is the idea of looking through and seeing clearly. It's the innerrelation in which a subject or its parts are mentally view. In other words, you really painstakingly take out the time to dissect this thing, mentally. It's the capacity to view things in their true relations or relative importance. That's what this is. And so we're going to take a look at a different perspective. So let's play with the word perspective for a minute. What do you see here?

You see that the different perspectives. What do you see? Open up needing help both people need help and they won't help from each other. Ever heard the phrase in the world that the grass is not always greener on the other side will look at this. The guy I ran can't wait to find a boat. And the guy in the boat a way to find land. They both have different perspectives. They went they wish they were in the seat of the other person. And the whole point is sometimes you got to look a little deeper to seeing you know, is that really what we want to do? Is that really how we trying to look at things? It's not all there's not always just one way of doing something. Did you guys know that when we get to heaven the Bible says we're going to be learning about God every single day for each imagine that eternity will be eternally learning more and more and more about we cannot exhaust tip. Add I can't even that doesn't even compete in my mind. Number one. There's no time. But then you're going to tell me where there is no time. We're never going to run out of learning more and more and more about God. We're going to be in awe of him all the time. That's a lot. That's a lot. That's why I told you all the time. I like to say sometimes crazy stuff. I always like to say, you know what you have in that book that cover that is not the summation of God. That's not 1% That is not a base Point. That's not a tenth of a tenth of its there's so much that about God that we do not know there's actually verses in the Bible where God actually tells certain profit do not speak everything that you saw. Cuz he's going to reveal it later. So there are things that some people know about God that you and I have no privilege of knowing just yet. God is with holding something. So there's a lot first it up. Let's look at this perspective notice the little things she says there is no justice in the world. The medium sized fish says there is some justice in the world and their faces. All the world is so just

what's the different perspectives? Where you at? What do you see there?

Absolutely, the big one the big one think the world is awesome is great. Isn't he so big you can eat everything? All right. It's kind of like a person born rich. They think the world is great. Nothing can go wrong world's amazing middle-class people like and then poor people or you know people who just don't have access to everything. They feel like the world is just so unfair. That's how we think. But guess what the world is just the world is just different perspectives because of the place that you're at. Let's go get one more. Look at the letter o in the letter i arguing over whether it's a 6 or 9.

You see that? It is because they're standing a different Vantage points. They have different points of view. It's where they're standing. If I only saw the back of someone I have a different vantage point and a different perspective because of my vantage point of what that person looks like versus looking at them on the side of a person looking at them in the front if you guys ever get an opportunity if you haven't already, but if you ever get an opportunity to go to a like a art museum a lot of times I got a lot of times but sometimes when you go to art museum, they actually have a line on the ground and a point where they want you to stand as you view the image. Because when you view it from that vantage point you get a certain perspective. Right sode this point is about where you're standing and the perspective is you get from where you're standing in the difference between the two. so if we look at a vantage point and perspective you have a vantage point because of the Christian upbringing that you have and because of the Christian upbringing that you have that's your Vantage Point. You have a certain perspective about the Bible. You guys get that that's why we have so many denominations. Because we've been brought up looking at the Bible one way. So they have one type of perspective and most people don't study. They just believe what was passed down pass down to pass down beautiful thing about Christian denominations is we're all good. The stuff we argue about that makes us different is just it's a minimal gay and it has no relevance or or bases on us having a relationship with God. Okay, but the whole point is the reason why we have these different perspectives is because of what the lens by which we look through.

Well now that we understand what perspective is. I want to look at the story of Adam and Eve.

from a different perspective going to take a different vantage point we're going to stand in a different position and we're going to get a different perspective on the story of Adam and Eve and I've facetiously called it man. And I'll show you in the NY. I tagged it as ever going to have fun at the end. Okay, the whole purpose of looking at this story is I want you guys to get to a place to wear that when we discover that we're going to realize how God orchestrates our purpose.

We all have a purpose for being here on this Earth. God created you. And when he created you do you think he had nothing in mind?

You think it was the coming together of your mom and dad that got you here? Oh, no, they were the instruments used by God to get you here. But God actually thought about you before you were even formed. Imagine that an eternity God thinks of you before you even became a seed in your mother's womb he thought about you and as he told Jeremiah, I already made you he told Jeremiah. I made you a prophet to the Nations before you even formed in your mother's womb and I've called you to go speak. Jeremiah's at 9 Ami There's no way I can do that. I'm too young. And God tells him be quiet saying that you are too young. It's really God's way of saying if you look in the Hebrew language is really God saying don't speak opposite of what I just said. Don't say something different than what I just told you. In other words. Don't call my word Ally. If I said that I made you something I made you something. So you are not here to be whatever it is. You're being at work. That's not what God was thinking God did not create a pass through Wilson and they say imma make him a cop. That was not a guy's of mine.

Give me the top is just a means by which he can provide for himself and his family, but that's not why he was created. And so how do you when I get to the point that place where that we realize our purpose some of you may even be walking in your purpose and others may not be walking in your purpose is sometimes we walk through our purpose. We feel like we have reached the fullness of that purpose. But what you fail to realize is the fullness is not complete until when Until you are called home. So until the day you die. You will be forever stealing fulfilling your purpose. So even if you know what it is, I'm here to share with you. Once more. And if you don't want it, I don't know what it is. He says it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a what helper What do you think helper mean the next three words after? Suitable for him. That's what helped her me if you know what I meant. There it is. I will make him a helper suitable for him out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky and brought them to the man. I underline that it's brought them to the man, but just imagine got it already created the animals. He's in creating man, but Adam hadn't seen an animal. Give me to look at it from a different perspective. You think you know that didn't he created Adam but haven't had the same animal and all of a sudden one by one. Started bringing the animals to Adam for him to name. Same thing happened with know if you go read the story Noah built. The ark Noah didn't go out and get out of what the Bible says. The animals came to the yard. So those animals that God wanted to preserve After the flood. Those are the only animals that k, Can you give me the text they just showed up? Same thing here. The animals are showing up and as they're showing up Adams looking at each one of these animals, and I don't know how much time he spent with him, but based on the time that he did spend with him. He named them. And when you name something, what are you doing to that thing when you name it giving it? What? Giving a life. Yes. What else?

purpose you're getting it life and purpose you don't have life if you don't have purpose.

You're giving it purpose. My mom name is B Cornelius. If you look in the book of Acts chapter 10, there's a gentleman here named Cornelius. He was a devout believer in the Lord. He wasn't Jewish though. He was a gentile, but I looked up the word Cornelius and it means Horn of salvation. And look where I'm standing here giving God's work. Is Gospel? My mom spoke a purpose in Me by naming me. That's what he did. Even if you think your name means nothing even if you don't know what the name is, I guarantee you God put that name in your parents Hearts because he named you based on your purpose. He spoke purpose into you nothing is by accident. There's a reason for everything.

So again, it says I'm out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky and brought them to the man to see what he would call them and whatever the man called the living creature that was its name.

Notice by Adam being in Christ or by being in the spirit God gave adam the free will to name the animals whatever adowa name it because Adam was in a a place not a Perfection but of Innocence. It was a state of innocent. There was no sin that had entered into the world just yet. So because of his innocent State and his Purity is pure relationship with God no matter what he did. It was pleasing to the Lord.

What's 20 says the man gave names to all the cattle into the bird that this guy is every beast of the field before Adam. There was not found a helper suitable for him. I want to make something clear in this verse. Adam was it looking for a helper? That's not what this versus say. This verse is saying that from God's perspective. There was not a helper suitable for hip. If Adam is naming all the animals in tending the ground. Why would he be thinking that I need help? You're not thinking he needs help. He's not even thinking God's going to trade anything else in his mind is him and the animals and that's it. You're not thinking about anything else coming. So he's not going to give me some help around here. That's not what it supposed to say. The Bible say there's not a helper suitable for Adam. Let me give you that another perspective. When you look in the beginning of the text says in the beginning God, which is the Hebrew word Elohim the i m at the end of a Hebrew word is plural and it means three or more in Hebrew. They have singular dual and plural. Singular maze what do leads to a pluralist theory? We don't have dual in the English language. Okay. So when you say Elohim is talking about three or more while we know that the godhead it represents the father Son and the Holy Spirit. So when Elohim in the Bible says in the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the Earth and then they said let us make man in our image what when they look at man, they don't see their image because there's three of them in one of him. That makes sense. So to make three out of they got to give him a wife and kids. And then you have the three cuz that makes it so he didn't have help suitable for him. There was no relationship. God is love love me and requires relationship because love gives and love receipts. That's what it does. It has to have relationship. So there was no helper suitable for him first 21. So the Lord got called notice. It's God's fault. They funny when I say that but the Lord God calls calls what a deep sleep to follow up on the man and he slept then God or Elohim the Lord. God took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. Closed up the flesh at that place.

Where's the way to the Lord got fashioned into a woman a rib, which he had taken from the man and brought her to the man?

You guys know that too. Not only was Adam created it was put into a deep sleep there was surgery performed red was removed God damn takes the red somewhere else creates the woman somewhere else. And when he creates a woman when God was done creating the woman and giving her purpose key then bring the woman to Adam. The woman was not created in front of Adam. Adam didn't see that part. The woman was brought to him. That's what that tells me. He's been some time with God.

different perspective she spent time with God before she was presented to Adam. She had to know that God was her created first God of her Source first before he was sent over to add. She had the first understand even though I'm going to give somebody to based on the rolls not based on, you know a person being better, but based on roles. I'm going to have you submit based on the road. I'm going to have you follow, but I need you to understand you're not following him. You're following me. Does that make sense? So he had to make sure that she understood her rightful role that hey. I'm God, not him. He ain't God and if he ever doesn't do what he's supposed to do. Guess what? I'm your Back-up Plan I got you. You follow him as he follows Christ the day he a follower of Christ Christ is still alive and well on the throne and he got this thing under control makes same with children. You are the parent. You're not better than your kids your kids agendas to follow God if the parents are not finally got what are the kid's supposed to do still follow God. So why does it look at parent has some some person that God loves more than the children everyone's equal to God husband wife children are all equal in the sight of God. They just each have different roles for reasons Beyond sometimes I understand it. Last verse the man said this is now he's looking at the gift that God gave him. This is now he's like 5 man. I want even looking. But how about something nice when you find something looking for like a whole lot of?

What's when you find something you was not looking for? But it came just on time is ever a bad time to find a dollar bill never bedtime. At bill cuz all time this is now bone of my bone and Flesh of My Flesh. She shall be called woman. Because she was taken out of man is ever wanted to know what woman meant right? They're taken out of man. That's what woman means. It means the womb of a man. That's what it means. You didn't know a man had a room, huh? Not every man just one man. Had a will be the first man had a womb. Gay is the womb of man. So let's look at the different perspective of this storyline. I gave you guys a little bit but based on everything. I underline and highlight it we're going to look at it a little deeper from Adams perspective out of perspective. There was a hidden blessing. Thinking about your purpose. God has hidden your purpose. He's hidden a blessing inside of you that you don't even know existed. You're walking around like Adam naming the animals you're doing great. You think you're successful and all that goes like nah, that's not it. I got more for you. It's hidden already in you. It's not something you have to go learn. Is that something you have to develop? It's already in you. Already placed in you your purpose and what you were designed and created to do you don't have to look for it. You got to go find it. You have to take a test to see what it is. It's already in you and at the time that he wants to extract it out of you he will So for some of you who think man, I don't know what my purpose is. You ain't got to worry about looking for it. God is going to reveal it to you just like he did without a but know this it's already in you.

Secondly as Isaiah 45 and 3 says it's a hidden treasure that blessing that is inside of you is like a hidden treasure. Let's look at see what Isaiah 45:3 says it says I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places so that you may know that it is I the Lord the god of Israel, who calls you by your what your name? So what he saying is while you're living this life that you're living there's going to come a day because there's a hidden treasure in darkness. Where was the rib? Inside of him in darkness, right God is saying in his work. I'm going to call that hidden treasure that blessing out of you. And when I do the work, you will then know that I am God, that's why you can't know what it is cuz you're going to try to make it happen and you're going to make it happen based on your intellect and your knowledge in your skills and got his like what I got for you. You can't even do I need to bring this out of you so that you know that I am God not so that you can think you are. Or that you are all that I got to bring it out of you when I first started my journey of trying to figure out my purpose. I would have to be an architect. I remember I wanted to be a fireman. I wanted to be in the military. I want to run my dad's business. I had Appliance business ain't doing none of that today and every time I went to go do it Are you got scoliosis how you feed her flat? This is this and that or my dad's business got burned down when the riots came and just one thing after another I was chasing after this stuff and it just didn't work and I'm like God, what do you want me to do?

And one day when I had no option left and life was at my lowest I ran into my pastor and he took me under his wing and he showed me how to be a man and he showed me how to be a father and he showed me how to study the word. He helped me get into college, which I have never been in before. I even graduate from high school. So he helped me go back and get my high school diploma while I was an adult and then I went to college finished got two masters. I didn't even know I was going that route and I got my degrees in the word of God and I look at where I'm standing. I didn't know that was in me. I wasn't even looking for that. At all, my dad was a preacher. He told me I was going to be a preacher out of laughed at you because I saw the heartache and the pain of my dad and my mom went through as I was growing up. I didn't want any part to church at all, but God had to bring me to my lowest so that I can call on him. I had no option left my last words when I was at my lowest. I said God if you truly exist help me. I got down to my lowest point and I was forced to call on God. I was between what I call the rock and a hard place.

You see that The Rock was Jesus. I was caught between him and a hard place and I had to make a choice and I chose Jesus. And that's the place that God has to put put us some time so that we can go the direction that he's calling us to go continue looking at us perspective. He was presented a blessing. So Not only was it hidden What only was it extracted from him? But thank God presented it to you. And after. Presented that blessing to him he was aware now of his Blessing and of his purpose. He thought his purpose was just simply to tend the garden and that was it. No you about to attend this woman in about 10 mins kids about 2:10 this ministry. You see he had a whole different agenda for him. It was more than what he thought. And then Adam had to do something else. He had to accept his Blessing. Now those of you who are thinking what he had no choice. Yes, he did because after he said, what did he do? He rejected her. He said the woman that you gave me she don't want to cause me to do that. He was rejecting it right there. He always had a choice to forgive it or not. Give it but at the point that got presented the blessing or what his true purpose was he said this is it how do we know? We accept that? He said this is now bone of my bone Flesh of My Flesh. She accepted the fullness of who she was and why she was there. It was a just saying you are like me he was basically saying you are me. And we can get this done while I name to call Hugo name that the pig let's get this thing going. And let's work on this so they were tending the garden together. He accepted his Blessing for spectiv. Eve without her knowledge was removed from the source.

She was a rib is out of Adam. And she was removed from the source. Let me show you somewhere else. It was removed from the store cuz we're talking about the purpose of God when you're trying to walk in God's purpose you end up getting removed from where you are because where you are is where you put yourself not where God is trying to take you. Mama said I Has Not Seen Nor Ear heard nor has it even entered into the heart of man what God has in store for you. So if that's true, which we know it is you can't be fulfilling your purpose until God brings it to you because you're not even thinking about it. You think about how good you look smart? You are how much education you got how much money you have in the bet you're using all of those sources to try to make your life what you think it should be in all of a sudden got pulls you away from all of that and places you somewhere else completely different. He removes you from the source from the original place where you started let's look at some other people who are removed from their Source Abraham's Journey. Hello. I told him go to the place that I'll show you. So he had to leave Wonderland full of paganism and go to a promised land that he even know existed. Any travel 700 miles if you didn't know go study travel 700 miles to get there a lot of mileage over foot with cattle and stuff and people who couldn't hang on the whole journey.

What about the Israelites pilgrimage when they came from Egypt and they were trying to get to the promised land? Hey, Dad, 11 day Journey end up taking them. What? Over 40 years.

Forgot to remove them from where they were the way they were going. They said it started out good under Joseph. They were blessed and all of a sudden things changed. Why does God needed him to come out and go to the land that he had promised Abraham, he would give the children. What about Moses call? If you guys didn't know he started under Egypt, right and then because of the crime he committed and he committed murder ended up leaving out of fear. And then it became a Shepherd tending sheep not knowing he was going to be tending a different kind of sheet. God was just preparing him. a shepherd's rest of his life But he wasn't it. So God called him. He saw Bush and he said hey, I need you to leave from this place. I need to go back to Egypt. And I need you to lead my people out.

And he's all of a sudden being removed from that place. He didn't know that he's it was just a place for him to have his foundation and to learn about royalty and how to speak and how to be eloquent and how to approach the king got to learn all of that. Then God allowed that crime to be committed. He gets removed. Then he learns how to 10 sheet and now. Takes both things and put them together so I can go get my people up. So God doesn't decide to help somebody with finding your purpose. What about Jesus's Earthly Ministry?

Jesus father restore unto me the joy that I once had with you when I was in heaven. He's basically telling you I'm here on the earth because God asked me to come here and I willingly gave in I left my original place and I came down here to fulfill my purpose. So Jesus got removed from his Source you think you were going to get removed? Absolutely. Resetting the simple way don't get comfortable.

If you're going to say nothing else I said. Getting into your purpose. Don't get comfortable. Don't ever think you are where you supposed to be in that you've made it.

Until he got there. He didn't write first second. Third John in the Book of Revelation. He had to go there and be isolated and that's when he got the vision and he started writing his book. Without that experience without him being removed from his safe place and being in prison to that Island. He would have never wrote the books that he wrote. That was his purpose to write the Book of Revelation. Savannah's, look at East respectability. / she was made to be more. Start out as a rib, but they made to be more than a rib. To see how sometimes we we start out one way thinking this is all is going to be and all of a sudden God makes us more. She was then cultivated as a blessing. So sometimes your purpose is to be a blessing and I even sometimes but your purpose is to be a blessing to others as well. So you not only will be walking out of the purpose for yourself, but you're bigger purpose is to be worth walking out your purpose for others. So he was cultivated and created and made to be bold of his bone and flesh of his flesh because he needed help. He needed someone that was suitable for him. And you and I are created to be helpers of others as well. And so God is going to remove us so they were cultivated to be a blessing. She was also seen as perfect for purpose.

So when you're walking in your purpose not only will you know it but other people will see it just like Adam saw it in her. And when he spoke that Not only was he recognizing it, but then she was able to even understand it in more detail what she was called to do because he spoke it out of his lip.

When she was returned to a source, which is him. Yet knowing the source, which is God. Cuz remember she came from the Lord and was presented to Adam. So God brought her back to her original Source where she started but she now has the understanding of who is Esau. So got me allow you to work where you work or do whatever it is you're doing but now you're going to be doing differently because you understand what your true calling and your true purpose is.

I don't know if perspective when you see the word the Lord God that word Lord is the Hebrew word Adonai Adonai means master. So the master god, but you think of Master God is no.

I got one this as the father. What is it?

Everybody says yes, it's the father. Everybody say yes. I'm going with the father.

Jesus is a tonight. The word Adonai simply means Master. That's all it means. Okay, and when you look at the Book of Genesis, he start reading the story of Elohim, which is a 3 in the godhead. Okay. Yahweh is the name of the father. I don't know. What is the name of the son and is the name of the spirit? Which means you know the wind. Okay. So when you see the Bible said the spirit hovered over the Earth and brooded over it. That is the holy spirit at work. And when you see the word of God going for that Jesus when the Bible says and the Lord God spoke talkin about Jesus because John and John 1:1, he says in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God so they were all at work. So when you see the Lord God in the garden putting Adam to sleep opening up his taking out the rip. That's all the work of Jesus. different perspective Let me help you with something else when Jesus was on the cross. Where was he pierced?

Where was Eve taken from from the side?

You guys see that? He goes and then he Fashions a woman and brings a woman back to Adam gase. Jesus says, I'm going to return from my what what is it going to return for his bride? Is it amazing that he went out and created a bride for Adam and brought the bride to Adam? This is the work of Jesus. That's what this is totally different perspective. Look at it differently.

From animal's perspective purposefully Jesus positions us as not being good enough. Does that on purpose?

I got some friends. Danilo he create Adam and say it is not good. The only thing you said was not good. My point is and why was it not good because the fullness of what he was created for had not been fulfilled. So when you are first created and brought to this Earth You are not good enough. You're not good enough at your job. You're not good enough with your education. You're not going to help with your money. Because what God has a side of you you can't extract only he can extract it until he gets out of you why he created you you are not good enough. So you start out not good enough. That's why you feel lost. That's why you feel uneasy. That's why you feel like you don't know where you're going because you haven't walked into your purpose this year. It is because God hasn't called you out. What is it going to do that when he feels like you are at the place that you need to be to receive what it is that he wants to give you and guess what that might be at 10 years old 12 years old 25 years old 40 years old and might be like Abraham 75 years old, but guess what about it?
