The Discomfort of the Expecting

Blessed be the name of the Lord praise. God, praise. God and Hallelujah isn't the Lord wonderful in this place and Hey, man, it's wonderful to have each and every one of you here with us and praise the Lord. I tell you I'm just bubbling over today. Cuz I feel that God has a message if you could head in your Bible to John chapter 16, and and you go ahead and stand for the reading of the word. I won't have you standing for too long. But let's just stand just for the reading the word here.

Now let me say this. There's several of you who have heard me make mention of this sermon and this point before. All this I've never preached this and in this church, but I did preach this at a church a few months ago about 4-5 months ago. And you know when you get a sermon like this, you just want to go ahead and go preach it everywhere. My wife with much wisdom told me, you know, Don't Preach that sermon until you feel like it God's will. So, I've been holding this sermon until I felt it was God's will and I felt yesterday. I got confirmed confirmation in the spirit that this is certainly God's will for me to preach this today. And this sermon may not be for everybody and it may be just what you need Hallelujah. And praise God again. I'm just I'm just bubbling over with expectation here today. So we're going to go to John chapter 16 and verse 19. Anda Praise the Lord. I'm thankful today. We do have Spanish translating taking place. So that's what you may hear in the background. But that's okay. We're thankful that we can offer the gospel in every language a man praise God. So John chapter 16 verse 19 and says now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him and said unto them. Do you inquire among yourselves of that? I said, A little while and you shall not see me and again a little while and you shall see me. Verily verily I say unto you that ye shall weep and lament but the world shall rejoice. You shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into Joy. First 21 is the passage of scripture that I'd like to base. My sermon out of it says a woman when she is in travail have sorrow because her hour is come. But as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remember is no more the anguish o'cheeze because of the joy that a man is Born Into the world. And you now therefore have sorrow? But I will see you again and your heart shall rejoice in your joy. No man taketh from you praise the Lord as you can already see on the screen there today. I want to preach to you on this topic the discomfort of the expecting and I believe that God has a word for you. If you believe that would you just set down your Bible right? Now? Let's go to the Lord in prayer and ask him specifically to talk to us in Jesus name Lord God we pray that God you would Reveal Your Spirit your will in this house and that Lord you would speak directly to the lies of this people. Help me Lord. God not to speak broadly, but help me to speak specifically help me Lord. God to be used by the gifts of the Spirit Lord that I might prophesied that I might be used in the word of wisdom in the word of knowledge in this house and that I might say Lord God exactly what it is you desire for me to say open up. Hearts and our minds open up our understanding here today that we might understand your will and what it is you're doing with us in Jesus name. We thank you Lord, I appreciate you Lord. Please continue to do that as I preach a man. Praise the Lord that word that was used in verse 21 travail said a woman when she is in travail have sorrow. We that word travail is from the Greek word ticto, which means to bring forth to Bear to produce properly. It is meant of a woman who is giving birth or women giving birth. We see it used in the Old Testament and the New Testament quite a bit. to denote someone who isn't specifically giving birth, but rather is going through a trial or a season of pain and discomfort now when it uses the word travail, we should recognize that it is always

including the idea of pain and discomfort It is never a excluding the fact that introvale and giving birth to a child there is pain and discomfort. It may not mean that exclusively but it does include it every time the scripture says it in Matthew 1:21. We see where the Bible does use the word travail. It's not translated in the King James version as for Vail, but it says the angel told Joseph she shall bring forth a son or she shall travail and have a son. But why is that so important so significant because just to say she will bring forth the sun is this idea of the sun's just going to come? I don't think any mother in this place would say your child just came. In fact what I'd like to ask if today is there anybody by a show of hands any mother in this place that had your your child without any pain or discomfort? Would you raise your hand? I let the record show for all who are listening online that there's no one raising their hands right now.

You see because you can't separate the travail from the giving birth. You just can't do it. There is always travail in the process of giving birth. Now. Where am I coming from with this? And where did I get this from him several months ago before the birth of my second child Rebecca. My wife was 9 months pregnant and she was still working at the time my son and I I took care of my son full time. And we kind of had this habit at 9 everyday. We tried to go into our family room and just kneel down and pray and I'm you know, sometimes you pray with me and sometimes he hit me over the head with toys and you know stuff like that while I prayed but every now and then he'd come over and he'd want to pray with me. And and so we we get down and we put our heads down on the couch and we begin to pray and and and I would always pray for him and pray the same thing. It was just something that I always did I just said in Jesus name? And I pray that if there's any pain or discomfort in his life that you would remove it right now in Jesus name, he's he couldn't talk at the time. He's doing much better now, but he couldn't talk at the time and so he couldn't tell me if he was in pain or if he was sick or anything like that. So I just forgot there's any discomfort or pain in his life. I pray right now that you would remove it and he'll A Hallelujah. I mean, you know, God can still heal pain and discomfort. Amen. Praise God. So I would pray that for him and we pray for a moment. And then I tell Kate you don't we're done. I'll be finished praying for him and that he'd say no he want to pray more the okay. Well wonderful, you know, I'm encouraged that praise the Lord so well, so I took it will who do you want to pray for Do You Want To Pray For Mama? Okay. Well, let's pray for Mama so we can get down again and I put my head down in this particular day that he said that I put my head down and I began to pray and I went to go pray the same prayer for my wife that I did for my son. And I said Lord Jesus I pray that you would remove any disc. Jesus I pray that you would remove any disc. And I couldn't get the words out. I sat there for a moment. And for some reason I just couldn't pray it and I felt like God kind of just hit me in the face and said she's pregnant.

Well, I can pray that God would remove and in in helper in and reduce the amount of pain and discomfort but the Revelation that God gave to me was that she is 9 months pregnant. She is going to have pain and discomfort that is just a fact of life. If you were carrying a 6 pound baby in your belly. You'd also have discomfort and pain Hallelujah and and William ended up being built in pounds when he was born. So he was a big baby. So so we're talking about you are pregnant. You're going to have pain and discomfort in here me if I would have finished that prayer. What I would have been doing was I would have been praying against the very back of my child because sometimes I feel the Holy Ghost in This House and sometimes the pain and discomfort that you're feeling is Because you're doing something wrong, but rather because God has a new life developing within you. I'm here to prophesy to somebody.

I'm here prophesied to somebody that you've been struggling for a while now and you came into this house wondering what's wrong with me. I'm going to tell you nothing wrong with you. Something writer for you. But there's a blessing that is being developed in your life right now, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, praise God my God. Something more for you about doing something for you, but you don't even know what it is and you might not understand it all my God got something developing a single life right now.

Pastor I don't understand why it seems like everything in my life is falling and going wrong. I don't understand why it seems like everybody at my job is coming against me. I don't understand why I'm struggling financially. I don't understand why I keep fighting with my spouse once I got into it once I came into the church and I got a relationship with God wasn't all that supposed to end. Hallelujah to tell you the reason that you're experiencing those things that is because something is on its way something is on its way and God's got Revival for you and your home and your household and God's trying to take you further and got shine. I did something greater in you if you believe that right now want to clap your hands and thank the Lord.

You could go right now to Isaiah chapter 23 and verse 4.

says be thou ashamed hoes are done. For the sea has spoken. even the strength of the sea setting I prevail.

But what's just Paul's right there and let's pretend like the rest of this verse of scripture when I wasn't there if we just ended at I travel not I don't know about you, but to me, that sounds like a blessing.

I travail now that sounds like God's will that work in my life, right? There's no pain. There's no discomfort. I'm not having any struggles. I'm not having to go through any storms man. God is good. Oh, well, let's read the rest of the verse of scripture says I travel not nor do I bring for the children? This passage of scripture is not a blessing. In fact, it is a curse and it is declaring the Judgment of God on Tyra. Tyra was actually a very fruitful plays at one time. It's in 4th colonies into other countries. If you've ever heard of the city of Carthage tire was one of the ones that the city of Carthage came out, but he's declaring that at one point you were fruitful at one point. You were a blast at one point you had to hand of God, but now you have no travailing but you're also Baron and you're also desolate. Oh, I'm here to tell somebody today probably if you're not going through something I'd say there might be a problem. Play praise God only because nothing comes easy. Everything comes at a price and if you're struggling through something because God is making you fruitful again. Oh, praise God. God is making you fruitful again. God is developing something inside of you. I'm are many years ago. Before I was Pastor as you pass your my dad's church. I've been preaching for just a little while and thought it was starting to use me and all that and I remember like it was yesterday. I was sitting in a McDonald's and my sister-in-law. It was some people from our youth group there and my sister-in-law came up to me and she just said Aaron, I don't understand what's going on in my life right now. It's okay. We'll talk to me. What what's going on. She says I just I just feel like no matter what I do. It's like I feel uncomfortable. So yeah. I got kind of excited look on my face. She kind of corded. Nothing seems to be working out. I mean struggles on this side and that side I said, okay, that's great. What? Should know you don't understand. She said is it's like no matter what I feel like I'm missing something. That's wonderful. Why are you saying these words? I said absolutely not I said because I hear the sounds of somebody who is expecting a miracle. I hear the sound of somebody who is expecting Revival old praise God. I'm here to tell you. I don't need that just because things are going wrong in your life and it doesn't mean that God has forsaken you but it means that God is blessing you Hallelujah. It means that God is developing you it means I God's trying to take you further.

when God sends forth a challenge to us to pray more and we tend to ignore it at least I do because I'm Cardinal at times and I tend to ignore it at first. Then all the sudden all these bad things are happening in my life. And guess what? The first thing is that I do. That's why I pray more. Anybody with me here today? You know what I'm saying? Hallelujah. Sometimes. God says listen, you got to be over here. You've been here for too long holiday, and if I can't tell you to get here and you're not moving that's been sometimes I got to get you out of your comfort zone. I got to put something in your life. I got to ship something so that I can get you moving again because this is where you belong hallelujah praise God. This is where you belong Praise God anybody in this place? In this field, perhaps you had often shot an arrow often, you used a bow and arrow and you are very skilled at this but there's something significant about this because you know, you can have the best bow. And you could have the best arrows and you could have the best Archer. And nothing could happen.

Nothing could happen. Why because even the best bow and the best arrow and the best Archer cannot shoot without tension. Oh, praise God. I feel the Holy Ghost in This Place. the best bow the best Archer the best arrow can do nothing unless there's tension on the line and I'm here to tell somebody that they do feel that tension because God is about to shoot you in places that you've never been before. I'm going to tell somebody you feel tension in your life because God is about to take you into a greater anointing when you will come on. I need somebody to get this today. That's about to give you a greater anointing oil filter to use you to pray for the sick. Like you've never prayed before I can never save before cuz he's got you on the line.

I feel this for somebody right now. You've made decisions in your life based on the tension the pain and the discomfort you felt. But you didn't have to realize that those decisions were made because God's positioning you to be shot God's positioning to be used for you and your family and friends. I'm here to tell you that somebody told me by somebody somebody on the line somebody next to him. Tell him you're on the line. and Moses told his father-in-law. All that the Lord had done unto pharaoh. And to the Egyptians for Israel sake watch this. He told him all the travail. I had come upon them in the way. all of the pain and the discomfort a day endeared and somebody say and somebody shot and and how the Lord had delivered them from a ball. Oh, praise God see somebody today you're in the middle of your story and all you've got to talk about is the pain in the discomfort and the trouble but I need a prophesy that soon and very soon. You're not just going to be perfect or talking about the travail, but you're also going to be talking about that never ends Hallelujah. You're not just going to be talking about the pain and discomfort, but you're going to be talking about the anointing and they healing and America that God perform in your life Hallelujah, please. Cuz you're coming out of this year. Praise God. Oh and you know what? I feel in this house. I feel expectation. I feel expectation. You know, why because when you came you recognize that not everything is perfect and not everything's going perfect in your life. And you got people coming against you and you got pain in your body. But look what you did when you came in this house your lift up your hands with Joyce in the Lord you shouted and said God is good. Praise the Lord. Why is that because you not reached the end of your story yet with the Deliverance, but your rejoicing like your choices are already there. Choices like the miracle had happened. You have a choice. He's already to get home. Come on now somebody needs to enjoy. Somebody needs to Rejoice like you already got it to somebody being so enjoys like it's already knows where Joy is like the anointing is yours Rejoice Rejoice like the miracle Hallelujah.

Why do we call them expecting?

but my wife has been pregnant twice and

probably one of the last things I'd say or call him was expecting. I'm sure at that point at 9 months probably what she would say is. I'm just going to stir I got discomfort. I'm uncomfortable. I got pain. She she probably say no, we don't call him and say he'll look they were somebody with a nine month old. baby inside of her there's somebody in there somebody who can't sleep at night. That's what we say. My wife can hardly sleep. There's somebody who can't eat hardly. Without getting sick, when will talk about all the negative stuff, right? We don't talk about all the things that they aren't and we don't talk about all the bad things going on in their life. What we do is we say that they are expecting because we recognize that the payment discomfort is simply a sign of something. That is greater. Here's what I want to say to you today. Stop calling yourself depressed and stop calling yourself distressed and stop calling yourself in pain or stop calling yourself struggling start calling yourself expecting nothing because right now things might be hard but I am expecting I'm expecting a miracle. I'm expecting the blushing. I'm expecting the gun places, but I'm never going to come on. Are you expecting in this house or are you expecting in this house? Are you expecting with this house? Why don't you do that right now? Whatever you're going through. Whatever your struggle is. Why aren't you showing say don't call me then call me expecting call me expecting I praise God because I got pain and discomfort to expect when expecting. I'm expecting. Moses told Jethro all of the travail and how God had delivered them. I want you to consider some things with me for just a moment. I'm almost done. 75 of the Israelites went into Egypt. with Joseph Is estimated that 75 went into Egypt? And we know for the next four hundred years, they would be beating they would be starved. They would be used as slave labor. Certainly, they were all the discomforts that they had up at day. They they didn't enjoy it. They couldn't receive it. They were used nothing just just workers 24/7.

Somebody say they were uncomfortable.

They did not have comfort they were in pain. but consider this in 400 years 75 people turned into 2.8 million people and that's actually a conservative number most people believe it is upwards of six million people six million Israelites that came out of Egypt That's not including the non Israelites that came out with them and it's also not including all of the babies in the people Pharaoh killed while he was trying to kill Moses. It's also not including all the people who passed away in the 400 years 2.4 million is the like that's an average of 6000 babies born a year.

You don't include miscarriages. And the babies that passed away. 6000 babies born a year now. Certainly 75 people did not birth 6080 the first year for his God hallelujah. Why are you saying in this area? Because I'm trying to tell you praise God that you might have walked into your trial one way, but you're going to walk out of your child a completely different way. Oh praise God you don't walk in and you're going to feel weak and insignificant and without strings, hold on money because when you come out of the address, you're going to be in power for you're going to have wisdom and got going to use you right away that you can imagine. They put is called praise. God praise God in Genesis 38 and 27 Tulsa Time. time I've heard Chevelle there were twins in the womb of Tamar you are in the time of your travail, but look on the inside. Why don't you take a glance what's on the inside? Because in the time of your trouble there is something developing John 16 and 21. It says that the woman has trouble and sorrow because there was a because Her time had come.

This is not the time where you fail. And this is not the time where you falter, this is not the time or you away solutely not your time has come that's why you're in trouble and sorrow it's because this is the season of breakthrough. I'm going to say that again. This is the season of breakthrough. This is the season of advancement. This is the season of anointing. I'm here to tell you this troubles. They tried to get back to their life and even some of them tried to go back to fishing. What was their profession before Jesus and try to find some form similar to their whole lifestyle but it pales in comparison to when Jesus walked the Earth.

They were sitting in a room. Reports of people seeing Jesus but they couldn't believe it because you don't understand the pain and the discomfort that they were feeling at the moment you were in the headset, but then out of nowhere. Without any ideas without any expectation without realizing exactly what was happening here King Jesus walking into the room where they were sitting here and they realized that their travail was over and now their blessing was back when I tell you what am I telling you this because you might be in the worst season of your life, but God damn about to walk in the room and he's about to make everything. Okay again, I want to make a call out today and everyone in this place that you can find a place in this altar to come and seek after the Lord. Maybe you've been in pain. Maybe you've been just comfortable uncomfortable. Having a hard time in your prayer life. Maybe it seemed hard to pray. Maybe it seemed hard too fast. Would you make your way down to this Holter? Would you find a place where you can seek out to the Lord and just get into the presence of God. Come on. I invite everybody right now. I invite everybody just as come and spend some some time in prayer in the presence of the Lord.
