The Conclusion is eternal life.
The knowledge of the only true God, and Jesus Christ is infinite.
To behold the glory of God and to know God is an infinite pursuit which will require eternity.
We rejoice in hope of the infinite glory of God and at the of Chapter 5 grace reigns through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We will have eternity to take in the Glory of God and it will take every bit of eternity for this endeavour.
We will never exhaust the joy of exploring God glory, we will never get bored.

Throughout this chapter Paul has presented the problem that all humanity faces and the only solution to that problem in terms of one man’s offence and one Man’s righteousness.
Adam’s sin, Christ’s Righteousness.
And we have seen that just as the condemnation of death was passed upon all through one man’s sin that justification is imputed through one Man’s obedience.
So all eternity hangs on these two works the work of Adam and the Work of Christ.
The concluding verses continue in this truth.
But Paul recognises that in his audience are many Jews who would say but what about Moses?
Where does the Law come into this.
To the Jew and many Christians it is thought that surely our own obedience to the Law or commandments plays a part in our own righteousness.
Paul answers this by telling us God’s true purpose for the Law in verse 20,
The Law Caused The Offence to Abound
So contrary to the idea that the Law can make us righteous it makes us sinners.
Note that we are still speaking of a singular offence.
Paul is staying consistent with the rest of this chapter in speaking of one man’s offence.
Adam’s sin “which we are all partakers in because we were all in Adam” is like a disease.
It is transferred through the blood it’s in our DNA and it lies dormant in us until we commit our first transgression.
But it is as if the cure of God’s grace cannot be effectively prescribed until that dormant sin is activated and becomes evident.
So then enters the Law that that dormant sin might be drawn to the surface.
The Law enters that the offence of Adam might abound in us and the likeness of Adam becomes apparent.
So where there is no law there is no transgression.
Transgression and Sin are different in that sin can be in a person without there being a transgression.
Transgression is the breaking of a law sin is the motivating force behind our transgression.
So then if you give a Law to someone who has sin in their DNA then they will break it.
So the Law entered that the Offence might abound in us and manifest itself as in the form of transgressions of the Law
A thought occur to me the other day that God being omnipresent and omniscient sees every transgression.
He witnesses every heinous sin on this planet.
Every murder, every sexual assault every cruel and vindictive act, every foul thought of every person.
How long-suffering is our God?
How much grace that he would cause the sun to rise on this wicked world one more day?
God is long-suffering for one reason, to lead us to repentance.
That by seeing our transgression of the Law we might see our sin and cry out to God “have mercy on me!” God long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Where Sin Abounded Grace Abounded Much More
No matter how much sin abounds through the Law, grace abounds much more.
To say that God’s grace is sufficient is an understatement.
What does this mean? it means that there is no sin that God’s grace is not greater than.
Nothing that God cannot forgive.
There is no limit to the grace of God.
But even more than that, Grace is much more abundant in the effect.
verse 21 tells us how that grace abounds much more than sin.
Sin reigned in death
Not only in physical death but spiritual death which is eternal separation from God and his glory, namely it is Hell.
The grace of God abounds much more in that where death once reigned through sin and the Law grace not reigns instead.
taking back the dominion of death making the kingdom of grace which is the kingdom of God.
But much more the grace of God abounds in that through faith grace reigns to eternal life.
That is the everlasting life which we are given in which we can know the only true God and Jesus Christ who he sent.
which begins the moment we repent and believe in Jesus Christ placing our faith in Him for the forgiveness of our sins.
But much more than that, the grace of God reigns through righteousness.
Not our righteousness but the righteousness of one Man’s obedience.
a righteousness which is imputed unto us which far outreaches and is much more than the righteous that Adam had before the fall.
But wait, there is much more because grace abounds much more in all of these things through the one Man Jesus Christ our Lord to whom belongs all glory honour and praise forever and ever.
So Christ find His rightful place as the centre focus of the superabundant grace of God.
