George Burns was an entertainer in the early days of Television. He had a long stnading deal playing shows in Las Vegas - signed a contract that would last until he was 100 years of age.
Someone asked George Burns - "What is the secret of your longevity?"
He said, "Oh, that's simple - Honesty and Sincerity - if you can FAKE those - you've got it made!"
Proverbs 3:3 says, "Do not let kindness and truth leave you...Bind them around your neck - write them on the tablet of your heart."
The writer is saying we must doggedly cling to the turth of God no matter what!
Cling to the truth in your life - your perosnal life; your married life - your spiritual life!
