The people were skeptical
suppose Wayne came up to the platform and said I am Elijah and I have been sent By God to proclaim to you what He wants you to Know..
But should they be skeptical?
Jesus healed the sick, blind ,cripple, fed 10000 with a sack lunch.
now they are comparing Jesus to Moses
If you are better than Moses -do better than Moses
Jesus feeding was perceived as less significant
V 32 true bread is being given offered

that hunger and thirst for life
the emptiness that is gnawing at them
V 33 Jesus is that Bread, and it gives life
Jesus repeatedly said that He came down from Heaven- the bread of life
SO Jesus gave signs of who He was
told the people who he was
told the people to believe in Him
V 36 do not believe

All these terms—believe, come, listen, learn—refer to what we would most naturally call faith. The last terms—“eating and drinking”—stress that the commitment that is involved in faith is as real, irrevocable, and productive of results as any literal eating or drinking.
The blood of Jesus means life, that life has to come into us, to be able to change us.
a book on a shelf unread does us no good.
Take Gods Word it has to be read, believed, it’s now in us when a situation comes up we can apply it to our lives
we have internalized Jesus, His life is in ours
Jesus is our new life, we have taken him in
our life now is by faith and we need to live accordingly
So we need to commit ourselves to Jesus as much as we commit ourselves to Eating
how often do we eat? snack? drink water?
Eating and drinking gives us strength, fuel for the day
keeps us healthy, if it’s the right food
Jesus is our life!
When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. But the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had, who loved me and gave himself up for me.
