Me: So last week my car broke down.
Somehow the sensor on the dash kept the lights on.
The battery wasn't dead but wasn't its perky self.
I prayed
Car didn't start
Why?
We: We’ve all thought this. We look around in our world and it seems as though God is taking a heavenly siesta.
God:
GOD’S PLANS
Who sinned, this man or his parents?
They are asking this question from a cultural perspective, Jesus is coming from an eternal perspective.
If you want hope and you and clarity start looking at things the way Jesus looks at things.
No third option, Not how was this man born blind? They were expecting one of those two options to be the answer. The answer Jesus gave them was not on their list.
Do you have God in a box?
He said: “neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
Jesus said, Im behind it, I allowed it, I planned it so the glory of God might be displayed in him.
What does light do?-It attracts things.
He made mud with his spit. (Let’s not spiritualize this..some people call it “water”)
Didn't even say Hi and put this spit mud on this guys eyes.
And said “GO wash in the pool of Siloam, which means-sent”
Still not healed, this man feels his way through the dark.
Have you ever been in between God’s directions and God’s destination?
If God has said GO I want to encourage you to keep feeling, serving, fighting through because in this, God’s glory is displayed in you. When you finally arrive, this testimony will become a platform.
God’s intention with platforms is that he gets the glory. Humans aren't designed for glory.
So he came home seeing.
After Jesus changes you, people notice.
This man tells them what Jesus has done for him.
They ask, “Where is this man?”
We don't really know their motivation here..if they want to follow Jesus or kill him.
But if got their attention.
God’s plans later become platforms
