Now through out this letter, though Paul has been dealing with issues, he keeps pressing one issue, he spoke about at the beginning of the letter, he found ways to speak about it in the middle of the letter, and now he’s brought it up again at the end of the letter…He keeps on telling them about the gospel…And in Chapter 15 we get the the lynch pin of the gospel message…the resurrection…thats what makes this passage so important...
The tone of this letter is one of correction and discipline

Why is Jesus’ death and Resurrection the most important message for us?

Remember…Jesus death was public…And Jesus’ resurrection was public
Not like other religions that base their entire system of belief upon some secret encounter with an angel, a secret revelation in a cave, an esoteric knowledge…What Jesus did…his ministry, his death, his resurrection…public…and it was the public who went and shared the news…even at the cost of losing their lives
