Jesus came to earth to bring salvation to His people
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Atonement - to be at one with God
propitiation- Jesus payed the price, for the removal of wrath
Jesus’s work on the cross, on our behalf, to satisfy the Law, and Justice of God
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Jesus came to die and bring atonement for the His Bride
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
today I want to look at the saving work of the Trinity, and how they are working toward 1 end

the Father chose those who will be saved, through foreknowledge
Jesus came to die for the sins of everyone, making everyone savable
Jesus came and died for some who refuse to believe
Jesus came and died for some who would never hear the gospel
Holy spirit is trying to woo those who will, and some who wont.
man has to make that decision. believe with all his heart, keep that faith, and remain good
part of salvation is of God part is of man.
the trinity is each doing their own thing. no unity. they are in competition with each other
Perfect unity is needed to save sinners

The Father chooses the ones for the Son
because of His love for the Son He gave Jesus a bride
that the Son will be the focus of praise and worship in the ages to come
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Firstborn - a title - the preeminent one, over all
God loves Jesus so much that He wants to have many more like Him. not in divinity but His attributes
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

limited atonement brings glory to God
we have to look past traditions to what the bible does say
