we are diving back into our series.
Why continue?
two people doing burpies / then doing it for a prize
story of grabbing the wire building the barn
The beattitudes show us just how much are attitude matters.
To be more like Jesus we must live for a reward that awaits us
look at how it is written/ it isnt that these things are easy.
Look how hard they are.
The prize isnt in the middle.
there are no participation trophies when it comes to being like Jesus.
stop viewing it as a social club
look at what God says about you
To be more like Jesus we must live with a purpose
look at what the verse says again
salt and light have purpose
dark cave/ flashlight no battery
This is incredible to see.
vs 3-12 show the qualities of children of God, 13-16 show the purpose of God’s children, and 17-20 shows us where these qualities and purpose comes from.
To be more like Jesus, we must be lovers of the Word
God’s word is needed.
