A New Horizon Is In View

Sunday P.M., January 07, 2007

Holt A/G

Isa 54:2 KJV

2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

Josh 1:1-4 KJV

1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

Whatever you are willing to live with, to permit in your life you will never change.

Whatever you are willing to live without, you will never pursue.

Wherever you will tolerate the environment, you will never leave.

There are things God wants you to do, things He wants you to enjoy, places that He wants to send you, there are NEW HORIZONS that you have never seen. But a new horizon  requires that YOU RISE UP AND DO SOMETHING!

(vs. 1)  NOW

   Speaks of the present time.

God is the God of the present.

(vs. 1)  AFTER THE DEATH OF MOSES

Speaks of a point in time.

Something must die that something might live.

(vs. 1)  IT CAME TO PASS

Speaks of events taking place in time.

LIFE is spontaneous and results in action.

(vs. 1)  THE LORD SPAKE TO JOSHUA

Speaks of receiving the Word of God.

“Heaven is constantly sending out messages like a satellite, but you have

             to tune into the signal.”

(vs. 2)  MOSES MY SERVANT IS DEAD – NOW ARISE

Speaks of the lifelessness of the past, and a new beginning.

There is no life in the past, LIFE is always present.

(vs. 2)  GO OVER THIS JORDAN – UNTO THE LAND

Speaks of a point of unbelief.

Every promise and blessing is beyond Jordan.

(vs. 4)  FROM THE WILDERNESS – UNTO THE GREAT RIVER –

            UNTO THE GREAT SEA

Speaks of the boundaries God has set.

God alone has the right to set the boundaries for your life.

I believe this could be your time of ENLARGEMENT toward a NEW HORIZON in your life.

Reach out and claim it!

Lay hold of it!

Say, NO devil, NO set of circumstances,

NO present situation, NO lack of resources

or NO person will keep me from

MY NEW HORIZON in Christ!

Gen 9:27 KJV

27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Ex 34:24 KJV

24 For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the Lord thy God thrice in the year.

1 Chron 4:10 KJV

10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

I’m Special

I’m special…

In all the world there’s nobody like me.

Nobody has my smile.

Nobody has my eyes, nose, hair, or voice.

I’m special…

No one laughs like me or cries like me.

No one sees things just as I do.

No one reacts just as I would react.

I’m special…

I’m the only one in all creation who has my set

                                          of abilities.

My unique combination of gifts, talents and

 abilities are an original symphony.

I’m special…

I’m rare.

And in all rarity there is great value.

I need not imitate others. I will accept – yes

celebrate – my differences.

I’m special…

And I’m beginning to see that God made me

special for a very special purpose.

God has a job for me that no one else can do as

well as I do.

Out of all the applicants, only one is faithful.

That is me.

Because…

                                                       …I’m Special!
