Why Should I support LMCO?

Good Morning, I wou
As many of you know, the month of December we give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. If you don't know what that is, it’s an offering that goes 100% to support missions.
Before I say anymore, i would like you to do something with me. Pull out your Bible and open it to 3
Have you found it? Let me encourage you to put a mark in your bible next to this verse.
As many of you know, the month of December we give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. If you don't know what that is, it’s an offering that goes 100% to support missions.
Grab one of the envelopes out of the seat back pocket and write on it LMCO. Now place it as a book mark in your bible.
Let me encourage you to grab one of the envelopes, it can be the white
If you don't know what that is, it’s an offering that goes 100% to support missions.
The reason I am here before you today is to share a brief story about my introduction to missions.
In 2009, I had a friend come to me and ask me if I would consider going on a mission trip...
While there I was officially there as a student, but in every opportunity I could find, I was meeting local students and forming friendships with them and sharing the gospel.
Now the question comes, why should I give:
Missions is supported through giving. You of course know we have a command in scripture to go and make disciples of all nations...
Romans 10:13–14 NASB95
13 for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
Romans 10:13–15 NASB95
13 for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
The IMB is an effective organization.
The IMB is supported primarily through the LMCO. The funds go 100% to people in the field.
Field Personnel: 3,656 (Nov 11, 2019)
People groups engaged: 847
in 2018 the IMB (cause we haven't finished gathering the 2019 statistics)
engaged 847 people groups around the world
Trained 18,428 pastors around the world
helped plant 13,898 churches around the world
saw 77,605 new believers
baptized 52,586
The IMB is an effective use of money.
Our money can go further overseas than it can here
ministry costs pennies on the dollar overseas. What shocked me about my trip to china was just how in expensive it was to live there.
