Does what you do matter?

I wake up every morning at 7:30 am. Something new im trying this year is to put God first instead of last. get down on my knees and pray for a little bit. Then i use the restroom and brush my teeth. Followed by packing my lunch, eating breakfast and out the door! As i pull up to work and look at the long stairs i need to walk up every morning i feel tired already. Then i punch in at 9:00 am and punch out at 8, 9 or 10 depnding on how UPS decides to treat me that day. I go home shower/eat and spend the rest of my night with my family or finace. then i do it all again the next day. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is anyone else stuck in this cycle of routine? Like do you ever thing about what you do even matter?

Not greater than him Greater with him.

Jesus
God wants you be great.
Not than him, but with him.

Good Enough leaves you in stagnation.

Its out there somewhere. No! its in you right now!

It is your birthright.

Jesus going to Zacheus house. He is coming into your life. Are you ready?

3 evils world flesh devil

World
Flesh
Devil (you need to rage war against the enemy.)

Even though your life is good, you still dream for greater.

Elisha started off like us, plowing in a field.

Plowing through church every weekend.
Instead of i have to be here, how about i want to be here, or i get to be here.
Instead of i have to be here, how about i want to be here, or i get to be here.
Plowing through your marriage.
Plowing through your job.
Plowing trough your thoughts.
We have made plowing in our life normal.

routine will kill your spirits vitality.

When i started working out 2 years ago i got into the routine of exercise. I know what you see in front of you isnt so impressive but thats becasuse i stopped lifting weights. Well when i was lifting i was starting to see results and see progress. But as time when on and on I didnt pass a certain amount of weight. I was still working out but i wasnt pushing my body to the next level. Therefore i no longer made anymore grouth. My muscles became stagnant.
So what im saying is that routine isnt alwyas a bad thing. Because it keeps you disipline. Plowing isnt always a bad thing. Working a job for 20 years isnt a bad thing. Serving at a churhc for 20 years isnt a bad thing. But we want more! God has called us for greater things. The routine established disapline, but we want to to level up. we neeed to add more weght and push ourselves a little harder.

Elisha wasnt even looking for a better life or even praying for it but God had something better for him

God will sneak up on you and call you to do greatness.

You need to realise that God has moivng in your life

not just the univer, but in your ordinary life God has peupose.

his eyes are always on you. he doesn’t see you through eyes of disapproval or disappointment. his presence isn’t a sign of condemnation. it’s a invitation.

Will you follow me into greater things?

Elijah didnt have to ask if he was ready he just threw his cloak.

The cloak means, no words, you wernt meant for this, you were meant for greater!
Elisha took offf running and the end! Amen close your bibles and lets pray! NOOOOO!
There is somethihng he had to do first.

Burning the plows

he cooks the ox, 24 of them, burning his tools and gave away to the people to eat.
what is it you have to give up to follow god? to trust him with your life?
What is your plow? it chains you to the ordinary, to the routine.

before you can move forward to the life God has for you. you need to give up the old life you used to have. it’s called surrender.

losing control is soooo scary.
God doesn’t tell you how he’s ganna do it. but that he will do it. Vague.
he doesn’t have to tell you how. we are waiting for God to give us a gps. but he is the gps.
when God says go. it’s not to intimidate you. but to develop you.
the rich young ruler didn’t burn his plow.

you miss out a lot by not following the lord. he asked for a double portion of his spirit. i wonder if i would be here if i didn’t burn my plows.

Digging Ditches
two reasons we get stuck after we burn our plows. We don’t think big enough and we don’t start small enough.
take realistic steps of obedience. he wants you to dream big.
we settle for less than what god has for us.
if God is your partner dream bigger.
think big. start small.
would you be able to love God and others as much after you lost everythingwhere you are now is where god wants you to be. you need to be great where ever God has put you.
Just waiting on God to send the right person. Be the right person. Character and integrity.
What small steps is God asking you to dig?
In every area in our lives we need to dig. the deeper you ddig the bigger the rain fall.
