Sanctification
Geneva made mention of John Stott’s “The Cross of Christ;” a book that Carl and the Adult class went through.
She highlighted four metaphors:
The focus of justification is the removal of the guilt of sin. The focus of sanctification is the healing of the dysfunctionality of sin.
The temple, the market place, the courtroom and the home.

There is a sense in which God has already saved each and every Christian. In this sense salvation is equated with the forgiveness of sins.

Our Present Salvation
There is a sense in which God is still saving each and every Christian. In this sense salvation is equated with the Christian's growth and perseverance.
