"Hatred is the converse of love. Indifference is the absence of emotion. Both love and hatred are very powerful feelings, and strangely, one can turn to its opposite quite easily. When love turns to hatred, it is a very destructive influence – both to the hater and to the hated one.
Hatred is a complicated theme. The Lord hates – the one who is the God of love hates. God commands us to hate and forbids us to hate. We should reflect God’s image as creatures capable of feeling hatred."
