Sanctity Of Human Life

Psalm 78:1–8 KJV 1900
1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: 3 Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, Shewing to the generation to come The praises of the Lord, and his strength, And his wonderful works that he hath done. 5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which he commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children: 6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; Who should arise and declare them to their children: 7 That they might set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep his commandments: 8 And might not be as their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation; A generation that set not their heart aright, And whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
The greatness of a nation can be judged by how it treats its weakest member.

We know there are numerous laws in our country today supporting abortion. The law in New York called the Reproductive Health Act. This allows for an abortion all the up to the time the cord is cut to protect a woman’s life or health. Notice the word health. A woman could wake up one day being 6 months pregnant and decide she does not want to be pregnant anymore. The governor of New York ordered the One World Trade Center to be lit up in pink to celebrate this. Celebrate???
There are 3,700 babies killed every day. 60 million since 1973 which equals the population of 19 states. We are exterminating ourselves.

Pastor John Bornschein is the senior pastor of Calvary Fellowship in Fountain Valley in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has served as the Vice Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force and was an Executive Member of the National Prayer Committee. He has served alongside ministry leaders such as Dr. James and Shirley Dobson, Dr. David Jeremiah, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Franklin Graham, Dr. Tony Evans, and Max Lucado. He speaks around the country for the sanctity of human life.
Now for the rest of the story as Paul Harvey would say.
His grandparents got divorced and it was a very bitter divorce. His mom went to live with her mom. His grandmother remarried and his mom’s step-father physically and sexually abused her. She finally ran away from home. This was in the 70’s and she ran away to California and got caught up in the drugs and the free love scene. She quickly found out it was not free love after all. She lived on the streets and sold her body to survive and to buy drugs to kill the pain.
She hooked up with a cocaine drug dealer. This particular drug dealer was the main cocaine seller on the streets at that time. Every time she got pregnant and would have an abortion, she was tempted to leave, but he would convince her to stay. One day, she was on her to the abortion clinic for abortion #4 when she was flipping through the channels on the radio and heard an episode of Focus on the Family. She was desperate for passion of life which she heard in Dr. James Dobson and realized she could not go through with it again.
Dr. James Dobson is just a thread in God’s great landscape just each of us. He did not just happen to be at the right time and the right place for this young woman and to save the life of this child. He had a father and uncles who had a prayer ministry. They did not see much success. One of the uncles really sought out the Lord about this. He wanted to know why they were not having success. Were they doing something wrong? Is that not what we wonder when we do not see success right away. But remember, everything happens in the spiritual, before it happens in the physical. The Lord answered and told him they were laying the foundation for the world impact that Dr. James Dobson would have.
James 5:16 CSB
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.
James 5:16
Wow. It all starts with prayer. If the three men were not obedient in their prayer ministries even though they did not see much success and if James Dobson did not start Focus on the Family which is really Focus on the Lord, what would of happened to this woman? There most likely would have been another abortion. Never underestimate what God asks of you. You do not know what lives are being saved because of it.
She moved to Texas. She wanted more for her son so she put him on the church bus.
I look forward to the day when we have a church van and can go around Holden and pick up kids. When we also have enough teachers to start Sunday School back up.
She would not go to church because she was too scared at the what the people would say. The salvation and life changing message of the gospel transformed this young boy. She saw how much joy the church brought her son, she finally developed enough courage to go to church. She did not find the pointing fingers full of accusations and judgments. She found love and a family she was desperately needing. She gave her life to the Lord and helped out wherever she could in the church.
It begins with prayer and then stepping out and sharing the gospel.
The world does not get any better if we do not put our hope in God. This next generation must praise the works of God. Our world can not hope to survive this generation if we as Christians remain silent.
Mark 10:13-16
Mark 10:13–16 CSB
13 People were bringing little children to him in order that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 After taking them in his arms, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.
