The Feast of Booths

Feast of Booths
End of harvest families come to Jerusalem
live for 8 days in a brush arbor big enough for families to live in
carpet on the floor, children’s art work on the walls
thatched roof, able to see the stars
Remember the time spent in the wilderness
with only God for guidance and protection
Fest is all about Joyfulness and thanksgiving

The Last Day Of The Feast

all the people came to the temple with their palm an willow branches held them as a screen
marched around the great altar
the priest with a 2 pint pitcher goes to the Pool of Siloam
Fills it and comes though the water gate back to the temple altar
the people recite
Isaiah 12:3 AV
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
The temple Levites are singing the Hallel Psalm 113-118
It’s a grand celebration thanking God for the supply of water
Remember the time When God brought water out of the rock
people are waving their branches and rejoicing
They have marched around the altar 7 times remembering Jericho
Maybe at this point Jesus stands and says

Come To Me

If you are thirsty
are you spiritually thirsty
unfulfilled desire,
longing for significance
the ceremony you are celebrating
God’s provision
I am the ultimate provision
Believe on Me Jesus says
I’m doing the hard part
I’ve come from Heaven
I’m dying for you
you just put your trust in me

Out Of You Will Flow

we are filled to overflowing
as Christians the Holy Spirit wants to use us to satisfy others
Many though are satisfied being selfish
keep if myself, and not share
Are you a blessing to others?

If not, you need to ask God to make you, not only a satisfied believer who has drunk of Christ for himself and has found his own needs met, but also a useful believer who overflows his family, neighborhood, and church with blessing. I assure you that you will never know the true extent of your own satisfaction until you become the channel for such a blessing for other people.

tides in the Bay of Fundy the lobster boats sit in mud at low tide
at high tide they go out to sea.
there are Christians who are sitting in the mud
If you are a person sitting in the mud pray that God floats you again
