WELCOME:
Grab Your Bibles and turn with me to Matthew 22:34
As you are turning there...
As Pastor Luis and I were praying for LHC and what God has for us in 2020, back in November, the Lord gave us 2 words...
ALL IN
The Lord is looking for each one of us to be all in...
All in with our walk with Christ.
All in with the Vision and Mission of LHC.
All in with one another as the Body of Christ.
For us to fulfill what God has called us to do this year… It will take each one of us being ALL IN.
That’s today’s sermon title if you are taking notes “ALL IN”
Are you at Matthew 22:34? Then please stand up with me for the reading of God’s Word.
SERMON:
Matthew 22:34–36 NIV
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Before we go any further… Church, Are you ready for the answer to this question?
I don’t know if the Pharisees were. But are you?
Let’s prepare are hearts and minds before we just read the next verse. (Pause)
PRAYER:
Are you ready now? Let’s see which is the greatest commandment.
Matthew 22:37–40 NIV
37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Love the Lord your God with:

ALL your Heart.

ALL your Soul.

ALL your Mind.

Then Luke 10:27 and Deuteronomy 6:5 take it to an even greater level.
Luke 10:27 NIV
27 He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Deuteronomy 6:5 NIV
5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

ALL your Strength.

Compartmentalized faith: (Plate with compartments)
Some of our heart.
Some of our soul.
Some of our mind.
Some of our strength

The Greek word for All here means: Whole, complete, entire… Focusing on unity

(ALL means ALL)

A relationship with Christ is an ALL IN relationship!

Church...
Why settle for God to have a part of your life when you can have Him in your entire life?

Compartmentalizing your relationship with God keeps you from receiving the fulness of God!

Take a moment and evaluate yourself...
Are you all in with your relationship with Christ?
Or does he just have some of your heart, soul, mind, and strength?
Listen to this amazing promise we find in scripture for those who turn to the Lord with ALL their heart and soul.
Deuteronomy 30:9–10 NIV
9 Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors, 10 if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
What an amazing promise!
These are the promises for those who go ALL IN with Christ.
I can’t wait to hear of the amazing testimonies for each one of you as you live a life ALL In with Christ!

But here is an important part about ALL IN… No one can do it for you.

I can’t want it bad enough for you… I can’t beg God enough for you… You alone have to choose to go completely ALL IN.
Will you choose today to not just have a religion?
Will you choose today to not just have a safety net from hell?
Will you choose today to dive all in… Completely and entirely!
I hope so… You won’t regret it!
So, you need to go ALL IN with Christ and...

All in with the Mission/Vision of LHC

Here is our Vision at LHC. (just in case you haven’t seen the large words written in the foyer)

Living Hope Church is about RESTORING HOPE and CHANGING LIVES.

We are Hope bearers!
We are to carry the Hope of Christ to everyone.
No matter how bad things are and no matter how much someone has messed up, there… is… hope...
Why? Because Through Christ there is always HOPE!
We Restore Hope to the Lost by introducing them to Christ.
We Restore Hope to the hopeless, downcast, and broken!
And we are called to Change lives!
When you can change the course of someones life for the good, there is nothing more amazing!
We can change lives through acts of love, words of encouragement, meeting needs, and discipleship of the Word of God.

A Big Secret:

You are not called to support the ministry!

You are the ministry!

Restoring Hope and Changing lives is not what the Leadership of LHC does...
It is what each and every one of us are called to do!

As a follower of Christ, You are the light!

Matthew 5:14 NIV
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Which means you are the one capable of Restoring Hope and Changing lives!
YOU ARE THE LIGHT!
Tell that to the person next to you. Because many of you may not be getting this yet.
Often we point at other people to be the light instead of recognizing that we are the light too!
Who are you impacting with your light?
Or are you not at ALL IN?
Look at the next couple of verses of Matthew 5.
Matthew 5:14–16 NIV
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

People will be drawn to the Lord when we go ALL IN and let our light shine!

Light in a box illustration
We aren’t all in… We keep Christ in a box until Sunday
Don’t wait to have church for the light to come out
We are the Church! Where ever we are and wherever we go!

We can’t someday Restore Hope and Change lives...

And we can’t almost reach people for Christ!

Jesus didn’t almost die on the cross.... He didn’t almost give his all for us… He was ALL IN with the Mission!
Are we ALL IN with the Mission?
For 2020… I have a challenge for us.

Each one, Reach one.

Each one of us just work on Reaching one...
Restore Hope and Change one life through Christ.
If we did that, we can reach 85 people for Christ this year easily!
And as each one of us reach one, we then have them reach one and we then reach another one.
This is How Christ designed for us to fulfill the great commission.
Matthew 28:19 NIV
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Let’s be ALL IN to reach one! (Each 1 Reach 1)
Another way to be ALL IN with the Mission is to help with the Ministries of LHC.
(Speak from heart about the Church and it’s current needs):
Each ministry we have helps to Restore Hope and Change lives.
Church,

We need you to be ALL IN, for us to fulfill the mission!
