Today this morning I want to teach you how to tell time.
We have been in a series for the last couple of weeks called Red letters, where we have been studying the Words of the man that changed the world .
And by the way he changes lives, changes circumstances, changes hearts.
Jesus once asked his disciples who do men say that I am? And then He asked Peter, but who do you say that I am?
That is the most important question. Who do you say that Jesus is.... You can laugh Him off, you can ignore Him, but if He is in fact the One and Only way of salvation you had better listen to him.
12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Today we are going to be looking at an aspect of Jesus that really seperates Him from all the other phony religious gurus, false messiahs, or any other so called prophet. We are going to be looking at the things that He predicted. we are going to look at His prophetic voice

Now there are some atheists and haters of God that will argue that Jesus never existed.
Hermenutics 101 we know the Bible is true because the Bibles says its true
Let me give you some references to jesus outside of the Bible

Now nobody hated jesus more than the Jewish Rabbis
They cponsidered him a fraud and someone that led people astray
Thus his birth, ministry and death occasioned claims that his birth was illegitimate and that he performed miracles by evil magic, encouraged apostasy and was justly executed for his own sins. But they do not deny his existence.36
This goes along with scriptures account that they accused him of serving the devil

Reporting on Emperor Nero's decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed Rome in A.D. 64, the Roman historian Tacitus wrote:
Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome....[5]

found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. I
n one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians.[8]
Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity.[9]
At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians:
They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food – but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.[10]
JOSEPHUS
JOSEPHUS
writings of Josephus, a first century Jewish historian. On two occasions, in his Jewish Antiquities, he mentions Jesus. The second, less revealing, reference describes the condemnation of one "James" by the Jewish Sanhedrin. This James, says Josephus, was "the brother of Jesus the so-called Christ.
So there is no denying that Jesus existed. All these references were secular references from history. Not Christians by any stretch of the imagination
Now that we have established Jesus as a historical figure. Letds now look at his predictions of the future
34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

The Destruction of the Temple

The official Lineages were destroyed. Jesus is the only one with a valid claim to be the Promised messiah that can trace his roots back to David
