In the early to mid 70’s, there was a television series called the Six Million Dollar Man. The star of that show was Lee Majors who played to roll of Steve Austin. Steve Austin is an astronaut who is seriously injured when his spaceship crashes. Handsome and athletic, Austin undergoes a government-sanctioned surgery, which rebuilds several of Steve's body parts with machine parts, a bionic eye and bionic hands and bionic legs, making him cyborglike. When Steve recovers, his machine parts enable him to have superhuman strength and speed, as well as other powers. He became much faster. He could see danger from a distance, and he became much stronger. With these powers, Steve goes to work for the Office of Scientific Information, battling evil for the good of mankind.
If the truth were told today, all of us have been in a spaceship crash spiritually and we need to be rebuilt. We need God to rebuild us, with a new nature. One that is not caught up in the flesh, but is directed by the Holy Spirit. This is what Paul wants the Corinthian Church to understand as he shares the with the importance of being reconciled with Christ.
God rebuilds those who are reconciled to Him through Christ, with a new nature.

The Divine Creation

The Divine Creation

God is the only one able to rebuild you with a new nature in Christ.
The term “new nature” refers to the spiritual transformation. If there is going to divine creation, a new creation, a new creature.
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” It occurs within people when they believe in Christ as Savior. New does not mean renewed, renovated, reformed, or rehabilitated. It means completely and distinctly new, with a new family, a new set of values, new motivations, and a whole new life.

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. New does not mean renewed, renovated, reformed, or rehabilitated. It means completely and distinctly new, with a new family, a new set of values, new motivations, and a whole new life.

Because of this divine creation, we don’t look at one another according to the flesh.
What happens when we experience a divine creation?

The Passing of the Old

The old man in you has to be put out of use, and cease to exist.
The old man is still present in the new life and expresses himself in sinful deeds such as lying (; ).
You have to get rid of the old influences good and bad.
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.

nor consider the things of old.
You cannot be stuck on past accomplishments.
You cannot be hung up on past failures.
You have to work hard to cease the bad practices.
You have to get rid of negative attitudes.
“For behold, I create new heavens
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.

The Coming of the New

The Coming of the New

God will give you a new nature.
New does not mean renewed, renovated, reformed, or rehabilitated. It means completely and distinctly new, with a new family, a new set of values, new motivations, and a whole new life.
When God rebuilds you, you might look the same, but there is something definitely something different about you.

When He gives you new spiritual legs and feet, it will help you run faster to Him in the time of trouble and uncertainty.
When He gives you new spiritual legs and feet, it will help you run faster to Him in the time of trouble and uncertainty.
When He gives you a new set of spiritual eyes, you can see trouble coming from distance and find good deep in the heart of others.
When He gives a new spiritual arms and hands. You will be stronger, able to endure struggles. Patience to wait on God.
And with this new nature, we are his ambassadors battling evil, for the good of God’s people.
I know He knows about new nature.
Because He was all God and yet all man at the same time.
Because He went in the grave with a earthly body, but He came up with a glorious body. How do I know? Although, He look the same, He was different.
He miraculously showed in a room with the doors closed, where His disciples were hiding. Thomas put his hand in Jesus side.
And ascended into heaven, and you know you can’t take flesh into heaven.
I wonder today if there is anyone here, that wants to put the old you and put on the new?
