==>There’s a higher standard for christian heartthrobs
Galatia was in crisis - relationships affected...
Galatians 6:10 NIV
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Gal 6:
This applies to your direct relationships .....
Today we will apply this truth within the context of equally yoked romantic relationships.

Make Doing Good A Priority In Your Relationships With Others.

Be a do-gooder. “love your neighbor” still applies --
The believer enters the relationship with the non-believer with “doing good” as a standard.
Pay it forward .....
Acts 10:38 NKJV
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Paul adds to “Seize the opportunity”
Pay it forward .....
Paul adds to “Seize the opportunity” in your relationship to bring happiness
Spend more time doing good and you will do less damage!

Make Doing Good By Your Christian Heartthrob A Higher Priority!

Two saved people demands a different level of spiritual maturity and conduct.
Especially = special attention (NVC)| malista ==> above all
Do you treat your saved spouse or significant other more “special”?
We often take advantage of the grace of believers - our conduct challenges - we expect them to treat us special
Do you treat your saved spouse, significant other, friend, sibling or parent more “special”?
This is the godilness = good
Paul is speaking of hospitality believers were expected to show each other.
The standard for christian relationships is MORE...
[more love, more grace, more patience, more fruit]

Two Ways To Make Your Heartthrob A Higher Priority .

Paul is speaking of hospitality believers were expected to show each other.
Romans 12:10 NKJV
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
Romans 12:3 NIV
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
1. Offer more Affection. This speaks to devotion.
[examples]
2. Treat them like One-of-A-Kind. “Giving preference” = esteem more highly
Something one of kind - you handle differently
This means don’t believe the lies of the devil, give each other the benefit of the doubt.

You Can’t Have This Level Of Connection Without The Holy Spirit!

You can’t do this with rules: do this and don’t do that?
Godliness = Jesus Living Through You by the Holy Spirit
To do as Jesus did, you must use the same power
To do as Jesus did, you must use the same power
Power of the same Holy Spirit
Who brings us into the same freedom
John 14:16–17 NKJV
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
John 14:16-17
If your relationship needs help....He’s available.
If you need relationship counseling first book an appointment with Holy Spirit
John 14:
John 14:16–17 NIV
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
There’s no scheduling needed - sit on the coach and take it to another level
You can’t do this with rules: do this and don’t do that?
To do as Jesus did, you must use the same power
Power of the same Holy Spirit
Who brings us into the same freedom
