Jesus Is Truth

By the power of his Father, Jesus predicted his own death to show that he was the Son of God.
Outline of the Lesson
I. Even while there was political turmoil in the land, Jesus claims that his kingdom is not of an earthly kingdom, it is a heavenly kingdom (18.36-37).
II. Jesus is truth.
A. Pilate asks Jesus, “What is truth?” (John 18.38).
B. These verses claim that Jesus is the truth: John 1.1, 14.6 and 36-37.
III. Jesus died and resurrected because it was part of God’s plan (John 18.32, 19.11).
A. At the Wedding of Cana, Jesus tells his mother his time has not yet come John 2.4).
B. Jesus tells Nicodemus that anyone who believes in Him, they will be lifted up (John 3.14).
