Today is good Friday,
Have you ever wondered why Christians recognize the day that an innocent man was brutally beaten and murdered as “Good”?
Well its because of what God does
God takes what the enemy deems for evil and turns it into good.
You see the greatest twist in the History of Mankind was when satan believed he won, but 3 days later he face faced with a crushing defeat
Video Carmen Champion
If that doesn’t get you going you might need to see a doctor, or maybe a mortician?
Just saying
Jesus Victory on the Cross paved the way for us to have a right relationship with God
We simply need to do our part to receive it.
How do we do that?
Maybe you consider yourself to be a good person?
but the Bible says
Romans 3:23 NASB95
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:10 NASB95
as it is written, There is none righteous, not even one;
Romans 5:12 NASB95
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—
But is Sin really a Big deal, after all doesn’t everybody sin!
Romans 6:23 NASB95
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So Why would God willingly die in my place?
Romans 5:8 NASB95
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
So How can I get saved?
Romans 10:9–10 NASB95
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Can God really hear me? Will He accept me?
Romans 10:13 NASB95
for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
So if you done all this what’s next?
Romans 10:17 NASB95
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Not only Did Jesus bring us salvation through the Cross,
He also purchased our healing through His stripes.
Good Friday is a time to remember to sacrifice Jesus made to provide a path to restore mankind.
Tied to Jesus' Death on the cross, we see Jesus bore the stripes to provide a means for us to receive healing.
The stripes He bore are just as relevant today as the day He was brutally beaten.
Let's agree with the Prophet Isaiah and the Apostle Peter, in believing By His stripes I am healed
Isaiah 53:1–8 NASB95
Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
Thanks to The Apostle Peter who built upon Isaiah prophesy to show Jesus was the fulfillment of that Prophecy
1 Peter 2:21–25 NASB95
For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
What I want to focus in on today is
Isaiah 53:5 NASB95
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 NASB95
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
By His stripes you are healed
You see along with saving our butts from Hell
He also bore our pain so we wouldn’t have too
John 10:10 NASB95
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Jesus did not just come to save you from Hell,
He also came to give you an abundant life here on earth!
Exodus 23:25 NASB95
“But you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
Jeremiah 30:17 NASB95
‘For I will restore you to health And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord, ‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying: “It is Zion; no one cares for her.” ’
Jeremiah 33:6 NASB95
‘Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.
Psalm 103:2–4 NASB95
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Psalm 147:3 NASB95
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
Jesus Healed many!
Matthew 4:23–24 NASB95
Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people. The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.
Matthew 9:35 NASB95
Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
Jesus sent out his disciples to heal people
Matthew 10:1 NASB95
Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
Acts 4:30–31 NASB95
while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
Acts 9:33–34 NASB95
There he found a man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years, for he was paralyzed. Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your bed.” Immediately he got up.
We are to bring healing too
Matthew 28:19–20 NASB95
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Did Jesus teach his disciples to heal?
yes
Did Jesus expect His disciples to pass on everything He taught them?
You bet He did
Healing is just as available today as when Jesus went around healing people
In fact healing is even more available
John 14:12–14 NASB95
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
Allow me to make a statement that many people may not agree with.
It is always God’s will to Heal,
Yes I can hear you through the internet......BUT!!!! WHAT ABOUT________________
truthfully we all know people or even yourself who has not been healed.
There are people we’ve prayed for and did not get healed yet? Or maybe even ever here on earth
But does that mean we can use our own personal experiences to interpret scripture?
no I don’t think so!!
Let me suggest an alternative.
I hold it be true that God always wants to heal.
But it is equally true that God’s “will” is not always done on the earth.
When Jesus’s disciples came to Him and asked Him how to pray. He responded with this
Matthew 6:9–10 NASB95
“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. ‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
Why would Jesus tell His disciples to pray God’s will would be done on earth as it was in heaven. If it always was being done?
Easy answer He wouldn’t
Jesus told His disciples to pray God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven because God wanted His will done on earth just like His will is carried out perfectly in Heaven.
Is there sickness in heaven?
Is there disease in heaven?
Is there cancer in Heaven?
Is there Covid19 in Heaven?
none of these things exist in heaven because God does not want them there and His will is perfectly carried out in heaven
but they exist on earth because His will is thwarted here on earth because He allows Free will!
But that does not mean He hasn’t implemented a way to fix it.
The fix came through the Cross, and through the beating Jesus took at the hands of His creation.
It is Biblically accurate to say God does not want any sickness disease infirmity or illness on the earth.
If He doesn’t want in in heaven He doesn’t want it on the earth!
So why Am I preaching this.
Well the first lesson of healing is this.
When you are praying to God to heal, You NOT trying to convince Him
The mistake most people make is trying to convince God to heal.
God want to heal them more than you want them to be healed
rather than convincing God, you are coming into agreement that His will would be done on earth as it is in heaven
That subtle change in thinking will drastically increase the number of healing you see God do through you
Our Job is not to convince God to do something He already wants to do
but rather come into agreement with Him and exercise our Authority
Authority on Earth
God gave Authority on the earth to Adam & Eve
Genesis 1:26 NASB95
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
satan stole authority from Adam & Eve
Luke 4:6–7 NASB95
And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. “Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours.”
Jesus did not try to correct satan about who had authority on the earth
Jesus new satan had the authority he was trying to bribe Jesus with
After Jesus Rose from the grave He took back authority from satan
Jesus Has all authority
Matthew 28:18 NASB95
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Jesus gave authority to His disciples
Matthew 10:1 NASB95
Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
John 1:12 NASB95
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
