Leverage

Use something to maximum advantage.
His Death Your Leverage
His death brought you everlasing life
Hebrews 2:13–15 CJB
Also, “I will put my trust in him, …” and then it goes on, “Here I am, along with the children God has given me.” Therefore, since the children share a common physical nature as human beings, he became like them and shared that same human nature; so that by his death he might render ineffective the one who had power over death (that is, the Adversary) and thus set free those who had been in bondage all their lives because of their fear of death.

“Here I am, one with the children Yahweh has given me.”

14 Since all his “children” have flesh and blood, so Jesus became human to fully identify with us. He did this, so that he could experience death and annihilate the effects of the intimidating accuser who holds against us the power of death. 15 By embracing death Jesus sets free those who live their entire lives in bondage to the tormenting dread of death

But we see Jesus, who as a man, lived for a short time lower than the angels and has now been crowned with glorious honor because of what he suffered in his death. For it was by God’s grace that he experienced death’s bitterness on behalf of everyone

His Chain Your Leverage

So they bound him with chains and led him away to Pilate, the Roman governor

The Son of God, the God of all creation was chained and led as criminal. He empowers us to overcome

14 But thanks be to God, who in the Messiah constantly leads us in a triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know him!

His Shame Your Leverage
He was ridiculed by everyone, including His beloved disciple Peter. He was mocked by the Jewish leaders, Pilate, Herod, the roman soldiers, etc...

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the aauthor and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

His Condemnation Your leverage

So he released Barabbas to the people. He ordered that Jesus be beaten with a whip made of leather straps embedded with metal, and afterward be crucified

Jesus was condemned to death, He knew no sin.

21 God made this sinless man be a sin offering on our behalf, so that in union with him we might fully share in God’s righteousness.”

Jesus was mad sin with our sinfulness.. that we might be made righteous with His righteousness.
His hung up on the tree is your leverage

13 Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written:

“Everyone who is hung upon a tree is doubly cursed.”

14 Jesus, our Messiah, was cursed in our place and in so doing, dissolved the curse from our lives, so that all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon even non-Jewish believers. And now God gives us the promise of the wonderful Holy Spirit who lives within us when we believe in him.

Jesus was made a curse.. that we might enter into the blessing
His Torn Body Your Leverage

Then Pilate ordered Jesus to be brutally beaten with a whip of leather straps embedded with metal. 2 And the soldiers also wove thorn-branches into a crown and set it on his head and placed a purple robe over his shoulders

Then they spat in his face and took the reed staff from his hand and hit him repeatedly on his head, driving the crown of thorns deep into his brow

His body was broken for us.
The leather whip, embedded with sharpened pieces of bones and metal, was known as “the scorpion”. Historians record that many people never survived this cruel flogging. The whips were know to break open the flesh and cut through muscle and sinew all the way to the bone. It was his love for you that enabled him to endure such treatment.
Just as many were appalled at the sight of him (for so marred was his appearance, like an object of horror; he no longer looked like a man). Isaiah 52:14 TPT

In fact, it was our diseases he bore,

our pains from which he suffered;

yet we regarded him as punished,

stricken and afflicted by God.

5  But he was wounded because of our crimes,

crushed because of our sins;

the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him,

and by his bruises we are healed.

His Poverty Your leverage

For you have experienced the extravagant grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was infinitely rich, he impoverished himself for our sake, so that by his poverty, we could become rich beyond measure.

Jesus endured our poverty.. that we might share His abundance
His blood your leverage

5 So when Jesus emerged, bleeding, wearing the purple robe and the crown of thorns on his head, Pilate said to them, “Look at him! Here is your man!”

And by the blood of his cross, everything in heaven and earth is brought back to himself—back to its original intent, restored to innocence again

And now there is nothing between you and Father God, for he sees you as holy, flawless, and restored

Redemption from sin, curse, rejection, sickness, disease and eternal condemnation
His torn open body your leverage

Rather, it is your own crimes

that separate you from your God;

your sins have hidden his face from you,

so that he doesn’t hear

Just then Jesus passionately cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last. 38 At that moment the veil in the Holy of Holies was torn in two from the top to the bottom

19 And now we are brothers and sisters in God’s family because of the blood of Jesus, and he welcomes us to come right into the most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm—boldly and with no hesitation. 20 For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him

Even though you were once distant from him, living in the shadows of your evil thoughts and actions, he reconnected you back to himself. He released his supernatural peace to you through the sacrifice of his own body as the sin-payment on your behalf so that you would dwell in his presence. And now there is nothing between you and Father God, for he sees you as holy, flawless, and restored,

His Uttered Last Word your Leverage
It is finished all done

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:17
