God directs your outer life through His inner Spirit that dwells in you.

You will demonstrate determination to emphasize the spiritual over the material.
You will understand the source and nature of Jesus’ purpose for His life and ministry.
You will demonstrate your desire to know and do the will of your Heavenly Father.
You will understand ways of Jesus related to the Father and how you should relate to the Heavenly Father.
You will understand the ways Christ and the Holy Spirit are related and ways you should relate to the Holy Spirit.
You will understand ways Jesus used Scripture and ways He practiced prayer.

What will you do to begin living in the Spirit?

You will study and seek to imitate the examples of Jesus.
You will examine the Scriptures that clearly speak about your relationship to the Father and Holy Spirit.
You will spend time meditating on the Scriptures and praying so that God can conform your mind to reflect the image of His Son, Jesus.

Scripture Memory Vers

John 6:63 NASB95
63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
John 6:
John 6:63 NLT
63 The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
John 6:63

Day 1: The Spiritual Controls the Material

1. Today’s Bible verses and the name of Christ for today.

1 Corinthians 15:45–49 NASB95
45 So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. 47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.
1 Cor 15:
1 Cor 15:45-49
1 Corinthians 15:45–49 NLT
45 The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. 46 What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. 47 Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. 48 Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. 49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man.

The Principle of TYPES

What is BIBLICAL TYPOLOGY?
A kind of biblical symbolism that is prophetic in nature.
More specifically, a type in Scripture is a person or thing in the Old Testament that foreshadows a person or thing in the New Testament.
For example, the flood of Noah’s day () is used as a type of baptism in . The word for “type” that Peter uses is figure.
1 Peter 3:20–21 NLT
20 those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat. Only eight people were saved from drowning in that terrible flood. 21 And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Example of a Type: Type of Christ

Type of Christ is a person in the Old Testament who behaves in a way that corresponds to Jesus’ character or actions in the New Testament.
When we say that something is “typical” of Christ, we are saying that an object or event in the Old Testament can be viewed as representative of some quality of Jesus.

The Spiritual over the Material

At some point of time in our spiritual development, the materialistic thinking would dominate our life. Perhaps even now depending on how mature you have grown spiritually.

2. Have you even focused your attention on the material world to achieve:

WEALTH
