God's Global Response to Sin

This is going to be a great time for us to start this morning praise God for the opportunity to come with you this morning with that. She'll get ourselves together. We pray for the opportunity. Bank of changing so rapidly in the city and all around us and all around the world. And we thank God for the opportunity. We're coming today talking about Genesis. In the Book of Genesis chapter 6 and we're going to look at the things the Lord has planned for us in and God Global Response to things that are going on in the world. We're in now chapter 6 the latter part of chapter 6 last week if you remember We were dealing with the preparation for God doing something on a global level. We looked last week if you remember at the the women's March 2017 Global Response 500,000 women, I think a hundred and thirty different countries all in one day march to say Me too, or it's enough for X up and they called out and if you get a movement around the world not just America against sexual abuse sexual trafficking against violence between a men women boars children. It was a major major world event. We saw that that same event was pictured and type you might say and in Genesis chapter 6 when the daughters of men were seen by the sons of God those demonic horses that raped that pillage that took them sexually young boys young girls and the like give me a picture and then we saw and said the scripture teaches us clearly. These are the days of Noah. And then Jesus tells us so shall it be at the coming of the son of man will be like the days of Noah. So let's pray. Let's give it to God's Global Response. By the way. Thank you. We thank you for this opportunity. We thank you for this opportunity of Lord of worship and praise. We thank you Lord God for your grace Lord Jesus in this terrible a difficult time that you would speak loudly and clearly we pray these things Lord Jesus your holy name. Amen. Amen. We have all the scriptures, but I want you to be able to that to make note of them usually in our Sanctuary. Look there in Genesis chapter 6. amen all right Genesis chapter 6 now. It's all that the Earth had become corrupt and was filled with violence. God observed that all this all this corruption in the world and for everyone on the Earth was corrupt and so God said to Noah I have decided. I have decided to destroy all the living creatures. Today, I have feel the Earth with violence. And yes, I will wipe them out all off the alarm with the Earth and this is the Lord's statement after the 6 chapter. We understand that God has reached a point where of no return. Minivans have been taught of God and talk to our history and so on of a loving God forgives and always look the other way and always and that's a very true picture of God, but the other picture of God is also that God has a time clock. May God grace does last four. Of time and then it cuts off and we got to understand that things will not last forever. We noted that in chapter 6 earlier on when he says my spirit shall not always strive with man and in that statement, he makes a declarative statement saying listen, I'm a long-suffering God. I'm a loving God. I'm a patient got yet. My spirit will not always strive with man and we need to understand that even though God is loving and God is forgiving a god of the second and third and fourth and fifth chance. There's a. Of time where God says enough Enough and in chapter 6 the Lord says enough. And in this verse he says enough. He says he saw he observed and then he said all of that verse he saw he observed and then he said this is how God doesn't our lives. He looks at us. He watches us like a Shepherd watching sheep. He watches are coming in are going he goes before us and lead us he opens doors force closes doors in front of us. He calls us he does exactly what he says there. He saw he observed and he said and it's at that spoken word of God that we live by Jesus would say man is not live by bread alone. But by every word that is spoken out of the mouth of God. This is why we start understanding this from that standpoint. Not understanding that we bring this to the stuff. We looked at last week that kind of tells us something and Peter says it like this. And did not despair the ancient world but saved Noah and noticed one of eight people. One of eight people a preacher of righteousness bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly. And you see that number at the bottom the estimates that we have from historical standpoint 8 out of 750 million people approximately on the Earth. 750 million people on the Earth at the time of the flood And yet only eight. And the leader of that 8 was no. This is what makes it important to understand about the second coming of Christ. The second coming of Christ the ratio of those that will be saved compared to the world. We don't know exactly what this gives us a good indication. What probably happened to Greater indication of the fact that Lord says here. He saved Noah and eight people Noah's family. This is a key for us to understand our times. We saw that woman's Mark. We saw the woman's movie. We saw the Jeffrey Epstein's in the and Henry Weinstein that we saw the Cosby and we saw countless others are the leaders men bosses and the like many of whom have never made the news cycle. Go down, but not of one offense, but several through the years of offenses and breaking the laws and breaking hearts and destroying people both men and women. It's all a sign because it was a global position. And one of the things you learn in this is that God speaks globally. We have a tendency to think about God and a very small compact way. We tend to think of God and very American eyes contacts just in America. That's our little country and then no one else. We don't think about God is the same God to the people in Aleppo. We don't think about God at the same God that people in South Africa or in New Guinea. We don't think about God all over the world. And because we have a small limited americanize homogenized view of God. Our theology can be really messed up. Because we see God is very small and very American and that is not the god of the Bible. Our God is a global God. Our God is a universal God. Our God is a God of all that's the way God wants us to see him. That's why we come to Global pandemics the situation or whatever. They may be we tend to take God out of it because that's a local thing. And God says no, I am the god of everything all over. He said let everything that has breath praise the Lord because he is everywhere. To the Weidner view of God is such an important thing not only for what's going on currently before every situation we come to because we were very limited idea who God is a very small level and low life kind of picture of a God we can put in my pocket. I got it we can carry with this. I got we can pull out at a certain time to release a conversation a guy we can pull out and we go to church and put back in my pocket Sunday afternoon because we have that limited small God at the Americanized privilege country God. When Global things happen, we don't know what to do. One of the lessons were learning from what we're looking at here in Genesis. Is that God of the global God? That when we pray we're praying to a global God. We talked the god of the Bible says our God our Father Who Art in Heaven, we're talkin to a global God. Not my city God not my state God not my country. God of the god of the universe. To broaden your understanding of who God is and you begin to see God responding with how you see him. This is true. But people this is true about God. When we don't see people as they are we see them as less than we never get out of them all that's in there. We never do cuz we don't expect anything. Well, he that he wouldn't know. I won't ask him cuz he wouldn't know I won't ask him that math problem cuz he doesn't know. What you find out later on he was a mathematician. Summa c** laude of in a masters in local Masters in a PhD in mathematics and we we didn't know because we let our apparently said he didn't look like we never thought that and that's how we do got because God is so small. And God is America nice and very small and part of the culture. Really. Good god of the world. We got him. So small that when emergencies happen when things happen when good things happen blow things happen. We don't see God as a global guy. But we have to understand it's certainly from this lesson the day that God has a global God and one of the first lessons that Noah found out it's a good guy that was talk to him from his father. And on on and on is a global God and Noah learned it like we can learn if he is a global God. He can take care of here and there and everywhere and we need to understand that and believe that and begin to see God that way. So when we kind of done come to this understanding knows what he says and this is the account of Noah and his family and Noah was a righteous man. The only notice a righteous man and the only blameless person living on Earth at the time. I understand. This is a righteousness by faith still. He's not righteous because he is sin less he's righteous because he is a relationship with God that was possible at the time because he did the things that God said. Later on Passage would say that he saw Grace in the eyes of the Lord. The first time that the Bible uses the term Grace is when it applies to Noah the first person ever grace of apply to and in a contest any contacts He was blameless. That meant no one could say where I saw you. I heard you no one could blame him. Why is that important? is testimony His testimony his witness. And that witness plays an incredible part when it's time to tell his family with God told him. His witness and notice. He says they're Anna and he walked in close fellowship with God and no notice was a father of three sons Shem ham and japheth. The key point. Is he walk and close fellowship with God? This is that the second person in the scripture that threatening his contact the first one being Adam walk with God and fill us in then Enoch walked with the guy until he was caught up to the Lord and now no I walked with God. It's important thing to understand the context of walking some of us today because of the situation. We're in an in globally then our countries and cities many people. I know that said last week many people in my neighborhood families couples and so on a walking walking dog walking each other just to get out one thing intrinsically important about walking Is it slows your pace down and you get into deep conversation sometimes in your walk you discover things you talk about things. It's the fresh air. It's the movement opportunity if the one that's it's that kind of thing. I know I walked with God you can't walk someplace in a hurry you your text time to get there? You didn't call him he walk with him. May I ask you a question? Are you walking with the Lord? I'm not asking you to go to church and ask if you know bible stuff do you walk with it? You get up in the morning or late at night. Do you walk with him in the course of your day? And as you're walking he points out things to you and says before this or don't do that as you're walking with him. He's leading you that's Noah he walk with the Lord. And his walk with the Lord affected his family sham ham and David and then their wives his witness. Affects his family and this is important to kind of get this because this sets up where we're going and what the Lord is doing not only in Noah's day because Jesus made the declare of statement. So shall it be the kind of coming of the son of man? So everything that Noah does we have to pay attention to it? Because it's tell that something is tell us something about the times we live in is telling us something about the conditions. We living in its tell me something about what God is thinking at this very moment. It's tell us a lot if we studied Noah's life and his times we will clearly see the future of the days that were in this very day V certain of that. And in that the Lord says build a boat. So why build a boat? What is a boat for? We are now it's according to scripture. There's no reason for anybody to build a boat and be anywhere else, but God tells him to do something. He's never done. And that's what faith is required. You're absolutely right you cannot but in him all things are possible. So God has in God responds to Global activity. He's a in him all things are possible. Without him you're right. I can't build a boat to save my family and right now all across the world. I never knew you you never heard me you never did what I told you. You're always about your own thing. And God says listen, I'm giving you specific instructions for your life. It's a song We sang I come to The Garden Alone while the Dew is still on the roses and he talked with me and he walks with me and he tells me that I am his own when is that happen in your life? He's calling you to prepare you for a global happening in a global response, but he tells us in the walk. in the walk so you're not walking with the Lord You're not hearing those thing. I'm not saying that you're not a Christian that you're not this or that I'm saying that God speaks with you when he walks with you. and this is a picture also of Christ. Cover it cover it. Make it waterproof. The question that I'll ask over and over today is are you waterproof? Has your life been waterproof? Cuz you look around and you listen to the message on the news and the message everywhere. Is a flood going on? That's not a flood water. It's a flood fear. Question is have you waterproof your life? Have you covered it in this case? He says tar and the original language is it's a pitch. Cooper we'll look at that tomorrow set up the situation of the world at this point what happening and what's the conditions are the Bible tells us earlier in the passage that it just has won six and seven. And he says it right there in Genesis Genesis 1 9 says and God said let the waters Beneath The Sky flow together into one place. So dry ground may appear was in one place that meant that all the Earth was in one place. There's land and there's water. It's not laying here land are land air water between there's land and then there's water that's what he saying. What we call and you know when your geography and geology the Continental Divide. Did not a lot of cases and yet still happening. And how long it took is not even the point the fact that it happened and what we're dealing with the Continental Divide let the land it so into one place the so the dry ground may appear and that is what happened first 10 says and God call the dry ground land and he called and underwater seas and God saw it said it was good. To be able to understand the conditions of the world at newest. I'm a watery canopy. All the land is what one giant Island you might say all the planets in one spot.

at the time of the flood This is one of the reasons why it's hard to imagine building a boat to go where? There's a hole in the world of sea seemingly around the world. This important to kind of get the picture of the impossibility of what God was telling Noah. It pictures the impossibilities what God is telling you and I And God always tells us to do things are impossible. He doesn't tell us to do things we can do it tells to do things that are impossible because if he tells us to do things we can do we don't need him. He tells to do things that we cannot do so we need him and we need to need him. And that's one of the lessons if you can do it do it. You can't do it and you're called to it. You must seek the face of God. What am I talking about? You can't raise children. Yes big grow up, but that's different than being raised you to be married. Yes, you got a piece of paper, but that doesn't produce a marriage. There's a whole lot of things that we have to do that. We don't know how to do that. We have to ask Lord. How do I do this? Philly man lack wisdom let him ask of the Lord. Noah build a boat. How do I do that? Watch me listen to me walk with me. And I'll show you. When you can tell your son. I noticed this this is why when we understand the significance of what God is saying to us in light of the fact that it is as if no one's there shall be a hard day. He makes a statement that says clearly when you see these Global changes when you see the things that are going on when you see the happenings of the world understand what the Lord is saying clearly what the Lord is saying, that's all of this in Genesis. He said that the Lord God had yet not sent rain on the Earth. So we have a watery canopy with all the planet all the all the continents all in one place. And no rain. Amen. Amen. All them and it ended I tell you what is the earth's climate was absolutely. Absolutely perfect at this point. Absolute perfect. It wasn't hot like it is in here. But it was perfect and I hope it's warm where you are, but it's warm where I am. amen when you go to space. All the water had not yet appeared. No rain. Look at the impossibilities. Look at what the Lord is saying? This is a this is what makes this so incredibly important to understand. That he never seen rain before. Keep never built a boat before maybe it had never even seen one. We have no reason to believe or think that prior to him know a story. There was even anything called a boat. So he's telling him to do something. He's never seen before expecting something. He's never seen before and he saying do it because I said so. This is God. This is the character of God, Amen.

Because this is how God does what he does. This is how and why God does what he does.

And this is exactly the point. A real faith and really trust in the Lord that follow this. And very serious and there will be no people to cultivate the soil and stead a spring came up from the ground and watered all the land. No rain came down, but water flew up. beer places around the world that have geysers Old Faithful is one of them across most widely known but there are a lot of places on Earth or water still shoots up from the ground. And in the Bible is telling us here before rain ever fell from the sky. No, man, ever saw the rain fall from the sky. The water will shoot up all over and water the plants from within the Earth that tells you something about the way the earth is made. We have a watery canopy that covers the earth and end up in the in the core of the earth. There is enough water to shoot up all over the Earth to water it. There's a lot of water in the story. Water above water Bernie and next week. We'll get into the details of the water. This is intrinsic of understanding. So when we understand what God is saying, this is the party with the reality when you see global changes and effects God is in the center of it. When you see global changes and effects God is at the very center of it, whatever they are. How devastating they are, whatever they are. It's in the center of. I understand something about the way things are because a lot of times people will say well, how could God a loving God do this? How could a loving God do that? And I want us to understand something from the very context of if not God doing something if the response of the thing itself I just a minute ago. Took my coat off. It's so warm where we are took my coat off and so when I take my coat off. If I let go of my coat the natural laws of gravity. We'll take it. Did I break down? What the natural laws of gravity pull it down? When we send is God doing something to us or the natural laws of sin in action like gravity. God is not to do something when we send gravity or the law like that gravity pulls us and pulls it and they're so sickness disease disasters and all the rest come from Some form expression of Disobedience to God it's not late on a people with a mirror reality of said we saw it in Genesis 1:1 verse 1 verse 2. Perfect. fibrous to the Earth became without form and void Satan being sent to deal with it that time. Can we see the gravity the pulling down? Automatically throw the ball and goes to the ground not because you threw it down because that's the natural pool of it. That's that's what we talked about. So when tragedies happen understand this and get this has happened in our lives. 5 year old Runs Out in Street gets gets killed by the the car driving by and the parents in the world says how can God do this? the fact of the matter is

these things happen because of sand in the world. It happened because of some of the world and when a child is hit by a car when something tragic happens the response like gravity. We have to understand that sin has changed everything. It literally has we don't like to talk about it in those terms. But God's plan God's response to the tragedies around or even the ones that are going on. Currently God's response and God's answer if we're looking for Because in God and know it's time. God said I see what's happening. I see the tragedy I see the Mayhem icy and I've got a response and Noah saw in his eyes the response any listen to Sail or what are you saying to me? That's what the Lord wants from us at this time. Listen to what I'm saying. So when you see global changes watch and learn what the world is telling us because they're telling us what time it is. What time is what time are how close are we to the coming of Christ?

Look at your spiritual watch. You don't know what what the weather is like you do like I do in the morning. I will ask Google or I will talk to Alexa one of y'all. You know what I'm talking about. You ask Alexa. What's the weather going to be like today? And she speaks about you? Ask Google. Hey, Google. What what's the weather going to be like today? And he said he's going to be 60 is going to be 70 going to chance of rain. So get ready for that. Have you ever asked God about the future climate Lord? What is a spiritual climate today? will tell you take me to put a spiritual jacket cuz it's getting ready to rain cuz he's the god of the rainy day. He'll tell you know, today's not a good day. You need to make plans do other things because I know what's in the day. She that's what you get in the walk. That's what you get in. The face is hearing from ready to feed something. You have never seen before Noah. To do something. You never done before Noah. And Inspire your family with it. Wow. As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the son of man? Get ready to see something you never seen before you see that's what he tells us. Get ready get ready to do something. You never done before and Inspire your family with it. Is Christianity that's a living Witness? That's a living testimony. That's real Raw. relationship with the Lord that's what this is about.

Facebook has you do something if your faith is not if you're not doing something because God said so you're just not really a Believer. What is your faith making you do faith without works is dead faith. It doesn't produce something James is dead. So what is your face making you do in a pandemic at a time like this? What is your face making you do? Where's your faith, too? What are you hearing? God and your walk? What is he saying to you? Why is it important because we said before we say it again and then when the when the son of man returns to the world? He says the world will be like the people were in Noah's day. I showed this to you last week. and it's kind of a good picture of a number of different categories of Global changes that were watching if you're at least my age in your fifties and many of you in your in your mid-30s you were seeing these things take place in real time like never before in history. I notice Vista Optical changes changes in the climate. I don't care if you believe in global warming and I don't care what your thoughts are the Bible tells it the story of Noah is a story of climate change. So if you're a climate change denier all no nose and look at your Bible clearly. It is a story of extreme climate change and the clam has been changing from Genesis 1 all the way to this moment. The climate is currently being changed sin is one of the things that changes the climate I want us to understand that clearly so you can deny it all you want to whatever political reason you want to deny it, but the fact of the matter is there are Climatological changes happening meteorological changes that are going on. Bixby things are happening on the earth at this time in our atmosphere right now. fear of biological changes biological changes that we're finding that things are going on in the physical body that we did not know some are helpful in terms of tea or some are even more disastrous. And geopolitical more Uprising and more war Jesus said before the son of man comes will be wars and rumors of wars and we're seeing it but not any open fighting feel but now we're seeing War take place on a different level. Before you can understand War as bad as in bitters, it was before when men were fighting in the street fighting country the country now, we have a hidden war that is almost more devastating. Because it's done in the computer age. Now it's done in the context of hacking now. It's done in the context where you you're looking at things going on behind the scenes that is that geopolitical war end. And finally the economical situation is going on the world. We're seeing it now and get this and understand this clearly and we talked about the blessing. the blessing that some of us in this country other countries of stimulus that help keep people working and keeping and they sent a Simmons package out has been remarkable thing up from the hand of God. No one else will government no president. It comes from the Lord himself. understand something This is one morning. I woke up and then you do the same thing. I woke up one morning. Look at my bank account and there was money in there. They came from cover band and it's like all praise the Lord. Thank the Lord, but I wanted to understand something about that. They were able to access my bank account. In this case in a blessing context, but the Bible says that the Antichrist will control all the money. And if the government our government and others, no doubt as well can put money in that quick and that simple they can take money out and they can close your account and they can tell you no more and there's no guns. You can buy there's nothing you can do. That is what you look at the spears spiritual forecast. The Bible clearly says That is the world that the Antichrist will rule we begin to see the edges of how this can happen when he says you won't be able to buy or sell unless you have the mark of the beast what we're seeing the government has a beauty to put money in your account take money out of your account some state.
