I Will Hear From the Lord Today.
I Will Grab Hold of Every Word He Speaks Today.
His Word Will Wreck and Transform My Life Today.
I Will Obey His Revelation of Love Today.

Now We Begin
God’s love does not always make sense to us.
God’s love does not always make sense to us.
How do I have a Working knowledge of a love that does not make sense?
Has anyone ever felt like they had a better way of handling a situation than the Holy Spirit?
But that does not excuse us from walking in love.
Even if I don’t have the whole understanding, I obey what the Holy Spirit is telling me to do.
That is true in all things, but when it comes to love,

If my reward is pleasing God, Is it Enough?

What if you never get the apology you are owed? What if the one who hurt you, hurt your kids, hurt your parents. What if that person goes on hurting others. What if Jesus doesn’t show up on a white horse to smack down the one causing you trouble. Is trusting God and Pleasing God enough?
Love doesn’t always look the way we think it should.
It always looks the way Heaven thinks it should
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.
Because: How many times doe God give us a because.
8 The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Know: To Experience and learn.
9 By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God sent his one and only Son into the world in order that we may live through him. 10 In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
What does that mean? My actions toward you should be the same.
When I love correctly I am the delivery man from the throne of God.
(Dad bring the poptarts. Heaven had something it wanted to get to us. Dad said okay.
Constant flow of Love from Heaven through us.
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.

6 For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.
We can be the M4 fully loaded with His love.
7 You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?
7 You were running the race nobly. Who has interfered in (hindered and stopped you from) your heeding and following the Truth?
If you were asked this question, does a face come before you?
What are you going to do with that face? How many know just ignoring them is not going to work?
42 years in the Ministry ( you could be wrong if you guess.)
Walking around the parking lot. (What is wrong Lord?) You are holding unforgiveness toward...
I am not. Besides they are the one in the wrong. There it was. The ugliness raised it’s head. Lord they were wrong, and I want you to make them know they were wrong.
What are you going to do in that moment?

In my case the Holy Spirit led me in the Word to Matt 5:43
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
He did not tell me to go become best friends. He didn’t tell me to buy them a big steak dinner. He said Allen everything this ugliness comes on you, Bless them ( Speak well of) Pray for them.
Small victory; God agreed that they were being spiteful.
13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a ringing brass gong or a clashing cymbal.
2 And if I have the gift of prophecy and I know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3 And if I parcel out all my possessions, and if I hand over my body in order that I will be burned, but do not have love, it benefits me nothing.

Jesus gave.
Boanerges, which is Sons of thunder (Βοανηργες ὁ ἐστιν υἱοι βροντης [Boanērges ho estin huioi brontēs]). This Hebrew nickname is given only by Mark and the reason for it is not clear. It may refer to the fiery temperament revealed in Luke 9:34 when James and John wanted to call down fire on the Samaritan villages that were unfriendly to them. The word literally means sons of tumult, sons of thunder in Syriac.

They are doing what they were told to do. They are following Jesus, but the people of Samaria were rejecting Jesus, because......(What is our mission? To Bring Jesus to a hurting world.)

How Do We Go From Being a Son of Thunder, Rage, Tumult, Agitation and Anger,
to Being an Apostle of Love?
When Who You Are, Is Not Who You Want to Be.

You don’t know what they did to me. No, I don’t Jesus does. You don’t know how I feel. No, i don’t Jesus does. It’s not fair. Neither was the cross. Do you think Jesus just woke up one day and said,
“You know what, I think I’ll go to the cross today. It just feels like the thing to do.”
It was a choice Jesus Made for us. ( How did that turn out for us?) How?
1 Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, putting aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us, let us run with patient endurance the race that has been set before us,
2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider the one who endured such hostility by sinners against himself, so that you will not grow weary in your souls and give up.
Disregarding the shame: Weighing it against the Big Picture.
Vs 3 How do we handle people issues?
12 Therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and dearly loved, put on affection, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, 13 putting up with one another and forgiving one another. If anyone should have a complaint against anyone, just as also the Lord forgave you, thus also you do the same.
Put on: Choosing what to wear. (Before the day even starts we go int the closet and pick out the attire for the day) I don’t wait to see what everyone else is wearing. I may show up in a vest and jeans and everyone else is in onese pajamas with the trap door in back. I may look out of place. I may feel out of place, but this is how I dress. And then.
14 And to all these things add love, which is the bond of perfection.

What is the deference?
Everyone else may be talking ugly, acting ugly and just being ugly, but you had determined to do Pre-meditated Love.

Practice the Word. (Finish the story) Did not feel like it at first. It was work, repent, work, repent. After a while, it became real.
What does real mean?
2 And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may approve what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.
You Are Being Transformed. The Way You Think is Changing. The Way You Do Things is Changing. The Path and Plan God Has for You is Opening Up.
To Become Reactive in Love,
We Must Be Pro-Active in Love.
Explain:
24 And let us think about how to stir one another up to love and good works, 25 not abandoning our meeting together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging each other, and by so much more as you see the day drawing near.

Simple conversation.
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again. 14 But whoever drinks of this water which I will give to him will never be thirsty for eternity, but the water which I will give to him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or come here to draw water!”

16 He said to her, “Go, call your husband and come here.” 17 The woman answered and said to him, “I do not have a husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have said rightly, ‘I do not have a husband,’
Why did he have to go there. This woman has a past. She has an area in her life that she would probably like to keep secret.
18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you have now is not your husband; this you have said truthfully!”
Explain the situation. 5 times divorced, living with a man. (What is her reputation?) What do people say when she walks down the street?
Why did he have to go there? Because Love took Him there.
25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); “whenever that one comes, he will proclaim all things to us.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.
28 So the woman left her water jar and went away into the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I have ever done! Perhaps this one is the Christ?” 30 They went out from the town and were coming to him.
39 Now from that town many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me everything that I have done.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they began asking him to stay with them. And he stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of his word,
42 And they were saying to the woman, “No longer because of what you said do we believe, for we ourselves have heard, and we know that this one is truly the Savior of the world!”
Jesus act of Love, restored the woman’s reputation. She was now the woman who brought Jesus into their lives.
