The root of all our trouble!

Typically in our lives we feel like we can handle everything that comes our way. That is until a pandemic called COVID-19 strikes the world. Nobody can handle this situation. Most people have always heard that God will not give you more than you can personally handle and I am here to personally tell you that is a complete LIE! God will definitely give you more than you can handle. Imagine John who got boiled alive do you think that he could handle that pain and torment. NO he could not. God is notorious for giving people more than they can handle. There are circumstances all throughout our lives that will happen and on your own you cant handle it BUT through Christ living through you God can handle the situation through you. If God will not give you more than you can handle how do you explain the situations that happen in our own lives. The issues is how do you persist through the situations that are too difficult for you to handle.
Genesis 3:1–15 ESV
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths. 8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” 11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” 12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” 14 The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. 15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
Satan is crafty
You will not surely die!
Satan was telling them that God would not let them die
Satan uses God’s own words and nature against him
He deceives
Just a little white lie
God would never punish anyone
You will be like God
Satan has been perfecting this for thousands of years
This should be no surprise but Satan is way older than you
Practice makes perfect
Satan knows what temptations to use against you
Adam and Eve fell for the corruption
If they can fall into temptation anyone can!
They legitimately walked with God everyday
They physically walked with God
They were the closest human ever to God
They couldn’t handle the stress of one command
It is impossible for Humans to abide by God’s law alone
That one command was too much to handle
Since they couldn’t handle this issue apart from God Humanity suffers
Sin entered into the world that day
We all suffer due to this
The reason we are in this mess is Sin
We can’t do this alone
It is impossible to live the christian life alone
You must rely on God
You must have friends to support you
Sin causes pain
Sin is the reason there is death
Sin is the reason there are thorns
Sin is the reason people suffer
God gives you more than you can personally handle
God wants you to rely on Him
Trust Him he created the world
Pray to God for your struggles
God definitely gives us more than we can handle because this is not how the world is supposed to be! The world was supposed to be perfect but sin ruined it all. God allows for troubles to happen in order for us to rely on Him and for us to do life with God leading us. A story to emphasize that God gives us more to handle is about a boy in Nigeria:
While our team was in Nigeria, we saw the effects of this violence firsthand. Refugee camps were packed with people who had been widowed and orphaned by Fulani militants. One little boy, whom I’ll call Oba, told us how the Fulani had surrounded his family’s house and shot his father right in front of his eyes. Next, the terrorists kicked in the door, shot two of Oba’s brothers, then turned their machetes on Oba and his little sister. They still bear long, raised scars on their faces and heads—permanent reminders of that horrible night” While our team was in Nigeria, we saw the effects of this violence firsthand. -Vernon Brewer, “Remembering and Praying for Nigerian Christians in the midst of Persecution
Even through the persecution the people of Nigeria still rely on God and are still actively sharing with the World around them. By all means this persecution should be too much to handle but through God they are able to see the light at the end. They can also endure this through God strengthening them.
