The Return of Jesus Christ
The event that has been awaited for two millennia
the Birth of Christ was perhaps the most significant event in earth’s history
Only the Crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus can compare
His Birth had been prophesied for thousands of years
The most celebrated event in the world - always
Jesus, indisputably the most famous person in the history of the world
His suffering and crucifixion were also prophesied, although misunderstood when they came
The crucifixion of Jesus was the greatest victory in the history of the world
The devil did not think he won at the cross, he knew he had lost
His goal was not to kill Jesus, but to take His power, His right to be Messiah -
If he could get Jesus to sin - Jesus died in victory - It was and is finished!
All who will turn to Him in faith have redemption through this blood
The resurrection of Jesus is not only proof of His victory over death, it is also an irrefutable fact.
Overwhelming evidence supports His resurrection
No evidence refutes it
The Church is the most powerful proof - could not have occurred without the resurrection
He’s Coming Back!
He’s Coming Back!
When Jesus ascended to heaven an angel promised that He would return.
He told His disciples: I go now to prepare a place for you
In Matthew 24, and Luke and Mark as will, He told of His second coming, and some of the signs that would precede and accompany it.
The Book of revelation, as well as several of Paul’s letters and Perter’s letters promise His return
Everyone who is a Christian lives with this hope and expectation ---
How sad it is that some who call themselves Christians do not hope for His retrun
Some even dread it
Jesu Christ will return - In power and glory
He will come with great wrath toward those who know not God, and great reward to those who have received Him
Do not believe the false doctrine of Universalism that has become so popular today
Do not believe the false gospel of Selfianity that has become equally popular today
Do not believe the false gospel of easy grace without repentance and sanctification
And please do not take my word for it, or anyone else’s either - Look for yourself!
Get in the bible yourself, and stop picking the message you like to hear the best as the way of telling the truth!!!
People are really so shallow and lazy -
I hear so many Christians tell why they like a certain preacher - and it almost always has to do with the preachers talent rather than knowledge or faith
Oh, he sounds so smart. He quotes so many passages, he quotes so many works, he is so nice, he makes sense, so many people are helped by his advice… and so on.
None of that qualifies him, me, or anyone else to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. And you will never be able to know if I am telling you the truth or not, if you are too lazy to look into the word for yourself.
You should look into the word and see if these things are so. Then you should look into the mirror of God’s Word and see how you are prepared. Then, you should look to the Holy Spirit, and listen to see how He will direct you to apply what you hear. Then, these sermons will be beneficial to you. and then you can know the truth, from the word.
Jesus Christ will return. to judge the living and the dead - there will be a resurrection - there will be judgement
Some will hear well done. Others will hear depart from me.
Not only are we jusdged for the evil that is done. We area also jusdged for the good that is done or not done.
So, When is He Coming?
So, When is He Coming?
Jesus promised that no one knows the hour or the day. Not even the angels
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
As we discussed over the last few weeks, this will occur “immediately after the tribulation of those days - the great tribulation
There will be a great many signs leading into the tribulation
Then the events of the tribulation, the revealing of the antichrist, the mark of the beast, martyrs, worldwide catastrophes
in Spit of all these things, there will still be civilization, people going about their lives, commerce and celebrations etc.
In verse 36 Jesus says that “of that day and hour no one knows, bot even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
just before then, in verse 32-33 that we should know the season, and when it is near.
SO, no one can tell us the exact day or time when Jesus will return
but it is God’s desire for us to be ready for His return
that we would be doing what we ought to be doing
that we recognize the signs of the times, and understand the times we are in
That we recognize the time of our visitation.
His coming is not a secret that He doe snot want us to be aware of
in the contrary we believe that He wants us to be telling the world that His coming is nigh

I would believe that we are very close, perhaps even within the last decade before the second coming
I would like to show you several reasons why I believe that Jesus will come back in or near 2029
Before I get into these reasons let me give you a few disclaimers
first, I am not dogmatic about any of this. I could be off on the year, or even a few years off. It could be sooner, or later
It is very much like the weatherman...
In fact, in one place Jesus compares recognizing the times, with recognizing the weather.
no weatherman can guarantee that it will snow on a particular day, or not rain on another.
But if they observe the information they have available, they should be able to get pretty close
While they may not know it will rain at a certain day or time, they can be very certain it will rain in a particular week or month, etc.
The can know that there will be summer soon, or winter soon for instance.
In the same way, we may not be able to be certain of the year, but we can know that it is close
First, there are many signs of the last days leading into the tribulation which are being fulfilled now
Of course there are wars and rumors of wars
there are natural disasters and earthquakes
the gospel has been preached throughout the world
There is a great falling away form the faith which has already began
There are many people who are pointing to false science to deny the faith, just as the Bible says
there are people claiming that the natural processes of nature have continued from the beginning and do continue (evolution) and mock the promise of His retrun
There are false Christians and false prophets (this is very rampant, especially int he selfian church and culture of today.)
Many other events seem to be lining up to fulfill other prophetic events
There are also tests that we can apply to these signs as we go to verify if we are right or wrong.

8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Why the millennial kingdom
there is the second coming followed by the millennial kingdom, followed by the 2nd resurrection, final jusdgemnt then eternal heaven
If the eternal heaven is the goal, why the millennial reign
there is a key to understanding here.
Six days of Creation
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
31 On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.”
32 And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ 33 Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.
