Hello we are so happy you are with us again today as we continue through our devotion through the Gospel of John. Last time we covered the importance of us hungering for the Word of God. I hope your appetite has increased and you’ve spent more time feeding your Spirit through the Word of God.

The People of Samaria Were Told of Jesus

The Women at the well went into the town in order to tell others of Jesus. This is significant because it is the natural thing for a Christian to do. When we know Jesus we have to tell others of Jesus. The nice thing here is that it is not up to us if they believe or not. We simply should and are supposed to tell others of Christ.

Because of Her Testimony they Came to know him!

I want you to notice that the women simply gave her testimony to the other people. Her testimony drew people to be curios about Christ. This caused them to be able to meet Jesus himself and gave them the chance to believe.
I finally want to point out that even though they came to see christ because of her testimony but it was because of seeing Christ that they believed in Christ. It is our job to point toward Christ, but it is Christs job to do the work in the individual lives.

What is you Testimony?

The question is simple what has Christ done for you? If we used my life as an example i would have to say not only has he saved me which is more that I can ever repay, he has also provided for me (in different ways) he as allowed me to preach and he has allowed me to be used by him to further the work of the Gospel.
If you are saved then Christ has already done so much for you. He paid a debt that you were not going to be able to pay.
