Jeremiah is using his age has a excuse to tell God that he is not ready to serve.
Many young people uses this excuses not to devote themself to God and spiritual thing. They tell themself that I am too young to serve God. I need to wait when I will be older when I will be at a certain age before I can devote myself to prayer and reading my bibe. They see the spiritual thing as something that only they parent do or their grandparent can do. They say thing like it is not hype enough, it is not cool enough. They thing that prayer and serving God is booring.
Who were use at a young age in the bible?
Let me give you some example in the bible of young people that were use by God.
David’s age didn’t stop him from being use by God. It didn’t stop him from killing Goliath and standing out agaisnt the enemy of God.
Samuel’s age didn’t stop him from being in the service in the temple and receiving the word of God et a time when God was silence.
Joseph who was use in the house of potiphar and stood up for what is right when Pothipar wife tempted him. So it means that you can also stand up to sin and he went out to become a minister.
Daniel in the bible at a very young age already knew how to stand for God and God use him mightyly in the court of the King Nebuchanezzar.
So God can use you too and you don’t need to use your age as a excuse. God’s doesnt look at the age or your physic or your capacity but he looks at what he has put in you. You are just a vessel in which he is using. And you need to understand that your time is not God time. And in the time of dispenssention, your age is not even a factor anymore for you to use your age. Your position in life is no more a factor for you to not devot yourself to God.
The bible said in Acts 2:17 ...and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions …
What qualify you to serve?
What qualify you to serve is that you have received the Holy Spirit in your life, that the gift of God is in you. Your age is not the trench mark for your serve or your devotion to God. You can be an intercessor, you can be a prophet, you can be a great worshiper. You can be a great peacher. Your age is not a limit, what you thing is impossible for you, is not impossible to God. You can raise the dead at your age, you can pray for the sick and they will get heal. I want you to remove all the barriers of age. Your age is not a excuse anymore. I know that the wisdom of man want to put you in category and age limitation but I want to tell you that is not God wisdom and sometime God like to confuse generation. And if you get it and seize on this word then it is your door for greatness, it is your door for unlimiting capacity.
Why your age is not prerequisite for God to use you?
This answer is found in Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I aappointed you a prophet to the nations. So it means that the processus of your development didn’t start now, it started a long time ago. You are already a work in progress. You were shape and long time ago. In the womb of your parent God was already putting you aside. The problem is that you think that you are still a work in progress, you think that you still are not ready and that you are too young or you still have many years to live but that not how God thinks. God doesn’t start with you when you are ready, God began with you before you were being form in your mother womb when your mother was praying for you and anoiting her belly.
Therefore, God is ready now and he doesnt need your aprobation to send you or your prerequisition to use you but he is saying now is your time to serve. It is the time to be devoted. It is the time to be hungry and it is the time to acquire knowledge and understanding to the things of God.
