Texas, near me

all right. How's everybody doing? Good good, All right. We're still trying to dive deep. I so badly want to come up here in a wetsuit, but I realized what that would look like and decided not to do it. However When you dying think there's certain things you have to have with you. Right? Like I don't know oxygen oxygen take a rebreather in today is thing but his is an oxygen tank. Why? Because we don't breathe underwater. The reason we want to dive deep and then one of things I want to make a connection with the idea of diving deep is that some things might be too much for some things might be Put a lot of pressure on the deeper you go in water the more pressure your body has to adjust to an end when we deal with scripture. It's very similar to diving Deep by friends of mine their divers, you know, I snorkeled one time and I was down there, you know swimming in Miami Beach there in Egypt in the Sinai Peninsula and I'm sweating. I got Milo snorkel riding a little circle thing coming we have these cool ones. We have one like one big face mask and all that. We had the goggles. That little j tube. And what sound out is as soon as you take that j-tube underwater your breathing water. So there's a right way and a wrong way and I went swimming down there and there's a little old rowboat. I remembered not to breathe through my mouth just to hold my breath and while I was down there a shadow came across and I looked up it was a giant great white shark. What's great about being in water? Is that when you pee on yourself the fish know and they scatter ashes in the shark was like honestly, I saw the shark do this number. Come is over me. And honestly, I really don't care about this like peed myself with the sharks like no bad, but but there dangers to going deep. You can go deep and get the wrong information. You can be overwhelmed by it and decide I don't like it. But we must go deep and we must be guided gently and correctly and that's why we were taking our time with the book of Romans. There's so much here. And today what I want us to realize is that Santa's real? Okay? and there is a get-out-of-jail-free. I want us to start with the premise that we were kind of boring into prison. Okay, leave it or not. My mother was taken away from my grandmother. Her mother at the time there was no child support services, right? So cuz I was a really long time ago. And so they the cop the police officers like what are we supposed to do? She can't be in the home of a prostitute. We're just we're gets that so what was a brilliant solution? Will it take over here to the women's prison and let them have her? The logic escapes me what you can tell this is not there was a more simpler time with less complex Solutions. You got to be guided in the right way and we have to realize that we are born into sin. Okay in a real sense. My mother has had one of the most amazing stories that she never told anyone that she was partially in her childhood in her infancy and her little girl part of her life. She was in prison because of a crime but because She had to be taken away from that which would do her harm. Okay, she was in an environment that would do that. We are born into sin and it's because of God's grace that he wants to take us away from that which would do us harm. The outcome of sin that is unrepented is eternity in hell. It is eternity is eternity being separated from God. It's so when we read the scripture and you hear what Paul is writing to the people in Rome Peter's Church, I want you to understand that he is Not being a jerk, but he's being very honest. Okay, he is diving deep with them before he ever meets them. He really wants them to greet him as someone familiar to them. And this is why we. Deep in scripture because we need to become familiar. Not only with the word of God, but with God himself would do that through the right kind of good teaching. Okay. So we re through some scripture here. I'm going to take a drink a coffee. Sorry if y'all hear me slurp.

In Romans chapter 3 when Romans was written they didn't have chapters. Paul was just writing a letter. Okay, then what's advantage of being a Jew? Is there any value in the ceremony of circumcision? Stop right there. I want you to remind you. Paul was someone who had all the credibility of being one of the most influential Jewish men of his day, but because of his conversion to Christianity, it was taken from the steam position of basically being a legal Pharisee a a scholar of Judaism and now he's using that scholarly training that he had with the mail and he's using that to explain what it means to be a Christian. Are you tracking along with me here? Networks. Yes. There are great benefits. First of all, the Jews were entrusted with the whole revelation of God realizes from Genesis to Jesus. The Jewish church that you see me the Jewish population of Jewish people were entrusted with all of that. So True some of them were Unfaithful anybody know people who are Unfaithful friends Unfaithful family members crew. Some of them were Unfaithful in every group, but just because they were Unfaithful does that mean what does that mean? God will be unfaithful No. Of course, not even if everyone else is a liar. Is true. As the scripture says about him you will be proved right in what you say and you will win your case in court. But someone might say our sinfulness saves serves a good purpose for helps people see how righteous God is isn't it unfair then for him to punish us to hear the arguments people present a lot of time. This is merely a human point of view. Of course not if God were not entirely Fair. How would he be qualified to judge the world? I want you to step back for a second and realize because God is entirely Fair. He comes from a position that he is the standard of what is not our opinions. It's a very important delineation and we have to make But someone might still argue well, how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more Glory Easter forgive more of my sin. That's not good. Logic. What's the opposite?

Some people even slanderous by claiming that we say the more we sent the better it is those who say such things deserve to be condemned. It's a win-win then we win then should we conclude that? Well, I'm sock you say when there's no h there Jason. Well, then should we conclude that juice are better than others. Not at all four we have already shown. That all people whether Jew or Gentile are under the power of sin.

And the scripture says no one is righteous. Not even one. No one is truly wise. No one is truly don't know one is seeking God. All have turned away all had become useless. No one does good. Not a single one. Their talk is pal like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies snake venom drips from their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. They rush to commit murder. destruction and misery always follows them They don't know where to find. Peace. They have no fear of got it all. Obviously the law place to Those whom it was given for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.

For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands the lawsuit Lee shows us how sinful we are. But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets of long ago. We are made right with God by placing the faith of faith our faith in Jesus Christ, and this is true for everyone who believes no matter who we are. Everyone has sent. We all fall short of God's glory standard. Yet got in his grace freely makes us right in his sight did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty of our sins. For God preserve Jesus as a sacrifice for sin right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life shedding his blood sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and didn't punish those who sin in times past. For he was looking at hit and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness for he himself is fair and just and he makes Sinners white in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Can we boast then that we that we have done anything to be accepted by God know because our acquittal isn't based or is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law. after all is God the god of Jews only? Isn't he also the god of the Gentiles? Of course he is. There is only one God and he makes people write with himself only by faith whether they are Jew. or Gentile

welding if we emphasize Faith does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not. In fact only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law?

That's one of the most important questions to ask. Does arcsin may God guilty because that's really the accusation Humanity throws that God all the time. It's God's fault people like to blame God even the atheist will ask the question or got responsible for it all. I think there's a sick baby over here that died. Then that's God's fault right Road the question out there. As if they are capable of accusing God and truthfully. It is one of the most important question Humanity can ever ask and I love it all puts it down in writing. It makes it very clear does our sin make God guilty. You see everything is result our Behavior character who we become as result of the choices and decisions that we make let me ask you a question.

I don't know who I should ask this to. Miss Jenny, can I ask you a question? Your son sitting right next to you. Am I responsible for his birth? I think there was no hesitation in her voice whatsoever. Cuz she know what? You were there, right and I had nothing to Ben. I am not your father and that needs to know. You already knew it didn't you? And you know it. Just knew here's the reality. Is that your choices? Miss was Jenny and her husband made a choice one day. And Ben was the result of that choice. In the third party excluded from the choice and the action is not guilty or what the choice any action that was made between two people.

You realize we never apply that same logic to God. He gives us free will free choice and we want to often blame God for our choices and our outcomes the got that they're going. Well, I mean, I know I made Humanity but I didn't make your decision you made that decision is not guilty because of our choices. We are. I had a parent once asked me one time my kid just went to prison and if I fall if I sell my house I can get him out. Did you hit the Quan? I Know appearance hard, you know is good and they want to do right at what point does the young man become an adult and pay for the consequences of his own choice and we had that discussion and a lot of people like to transfer their guilt to God and there is a way of doing that. Without making got guilty without our having the arrogance of saying got you did this your song reality?

God is all-powerful. But he chooses to limit himself and let you make your own choices. There's a reason why I remember when we first started this we said one of the greatest things got ever did was to step back from creation a little bit so that we weren't destroyed by his presence because his Holiness his fairness is Justice requires the obliteration of require Cebu duration of of inequity. So we don't realize that what a great thing God did of course. The answer is is no God is not guilty of arson we are Can we say can you repeat after me please? I am. guilty of my sin You know what? I am to not have your sin mine. Hello microphone microphone.

Nobody's fault but my own.

That time I got arrested cuz I forgot to pay a traffic ticket. When a police officer friend of mine shows up at my door on my apartment and I'm over here cooking a steak like steak. I'm over here cooking steak pan fry in the steak. So the place is full of smoke and open the door and he's like are you okay, but it was it was there to arrest and you know what he is arresting me did not make him guilty of my choice. That one time I ran the stop sign that got a ticket and I literally forgot. What great moment where I got to call my dad and my stepmom and my brother Paul picks up the phone? I'm like

I need help. I'm in jail. An Impulse I'd like to the everybody but it's one of those moments where is not responsible for my choice. The the my parents were responsible for my brother wasn't responsible for my choice on the 135 at the time of $35 to $35 fine and avoided that whole situation had I remembered

But whose fault is it? Guy right here got to go to jail and watch the cops be the guy in another cell was running his mouth. And you know what they want by yourselves says. Yes, sir. I'm a coward.

Don't put them in myself cuz he heard me yell and go get them to where we got to reclaim our responsibility. We're sinners. You me all of us be Sinners all of us be. I thought so we're all Sinners. We are responsible even today people will spend so much of their time blaming others for their own actions. The truth is transferring blame instead of taking responsibility is a sin. It's a sin because at the very depths of circumstance, we are responsible for our own choices regardless of who was telling us that we have a right to blame others. You don't You might be among a crowd of people and they're all like yeah put you like after school. You know, I don't do people still like go. I will see you after school. We're going to fight you been so long since I was in school, we used to make appointments to fight no more just jumped you all of a sudden they like yo, this is tough. Talkin 1970 Somethin early 80s. Yo 315 was School's Out Meet me by the railroad tracks.

You have a chance you have a choice because that what you had to cross the road tracks to get home. It wouldn't build a school in your neighborhood so I can walk across the railroad tracks to get home. So that's where everybody had their appointments. And so people don't do that anymore, huh? They saw each other or talk trash online, but listen carefully. I can't blame others. When I am responsible for my actions. We have to reclaim our responsibility because transfer and blank the others. We are responsible for our own choices. We are responsible regardless of who's telling you if someone tells you meet you meet them there at 3:15. You don't have to. What are some point you have got to realize that you are responsible for your voices now here in this group of people in our church. I know you everybody takes responsibility for their actions and they'll blame others bring their children when they want to get out of stuff for or they don't blame their spouse when they want to do something but, you know, people take responsibility and it's okay to say I want to do that. Did you ever learn that it is perfectly fine to say no to a sin. It's almost put you in a situation where you're going to send. It's okay to say no. I don't want to send. Young many people are taught today that no means no, right is that that's got like if you're dealing with HR they can tell you that no means no, no really means no specific charge telling you. I wish I had a lowrider, you know what these days. Gives me money is going to be different kinds of cars you can you show me Alfa Romero lowrider want you to realize something here. You can still say notice it. No matter what. It is. No matter whose put pressure on you to compromise yourself. Guess what the IRS if you do something wrong and the IRS comes acting as you know, what they're going to do. You're not going to take that. You're you're the devil made you do it then I got to say did your boss tell you to do this now? They're going to go is that your name at the bottom of the paper?

It is. Okay. No matter what the consequence the saying no to ascend no matter who's putting pressure on you no matter the relationship no matter the circumstance. No can still me know in your choice my how much pressure the devil puts on you. You don't know who Flip Wilson is. Y'all know who Flip Wilson The Saturdays but there's a hole in the devil. You know, what clip was wrong. Devil doesn't make you do anything. You can tell the devil know when Winston comes your way. You can simply say no. no matter how many people Try to tell you something's okay. When God says it's wrong. It's remained wrong.

one of the most important lessons for us to learn she would be is a goddess a measure of what is right true and just

So something is in conflict with will of God. It is wrong. We don't get to change. It. It's not going. Hey guys. What do you think? It's okay. No, it's not. Murders, okay, you know I got you are one goes up to get the Ten Commandments. He doesn't know he's going to get to the tank of the law from God. He's going up there to see God and God doesn't go of a Moses. We say about this one. I'm thinking about writing. Shall not kill. You think that's good if you read it, I God wrote. Okay, I sure hope got something better than me, but be rights, don't do it. Don't don't don't don't covet your neighbor's wife know I cuz it's yours. Gives it a chance salute way of viewing. Something is absolutely wrong to kill.

And it's not negotiable. God gives us an external way of measuring what is right. What is wrong? We have to conform to it. Not it to us. God is not asking us to vote. You know, God is an absolute Authority who does not do things through committee or through popular Democratic vote. Just don't do it. Don't do it. It's transmutable. I'll look at that word is pretty cool Warrior like it's one of those situations to where we don't go and say God, but you're responsible for my

We don't blame others there is in there is this is where people self-righteous people who are liars always come up with the you can't blame them because... And they find excuses are you can't blame cuz he was on drugs, but he took the drug. Yes.

We make too many cheeses if someone harm somebody because they're under the influence you realize you're still responsible. Because you chose to be under the influence regardless of the influence. I don't care what they legalized in the world. You still have to make the choice?

You can't blame them because... Yes, here's the thing truth is we are responsible for our actions. There is no luxury and blaming others for your social economic or spiritual conditions. This is what Paul was running to the circumstance of the Christian church in Rome. It was religious to go sleep with a prostitute. If you wanted to be righteous, can you imagine I'm sorry. This is how I picture things in my head guys on his way home and worship God in a while. I think I'm going to hear the temple prostitute and God will really appreciate me having sex with her. That's not right. But that's the culture that think the Church of Rome was looking under or are there they're sacrificing babies over here. I'm going to miss out on the blessing. So I'mma go pay to have this baby sacrificed.

What polish writing Church of Rome is his writing to a church dealing with sin being justified excused and permitted. He's riding and sing to them guys regardless of what all the very powerful and influential people, you know, they had influencers back in the day to Purple Rose who walked around and everybody was like they got purple on they must be rich we take purple for granted but purple was a color of wealth and royalty of the day and the royal families of the day and Ashley were influencers other culture not just commanders of it. And so what they did so when they worship other gods only had sex with prostitutes in the temple where they did other things like, you know orgies people always like the you seen the stories on Pompeii, right? You realize one of the is Fresco the right word the painting on the wall of the frescoes on the wall of Pompeii. There is orgy instructions and positions and things like that. This was their wallpaper. That's how perverted they were back in the day and how so many people want us and our culture to become today. People want to return to that perversion where it's okay to have sex with babies. Mobility roleplay if you're one of those little perverts at you better hope love finds you before I do I'll lose my position here cuz I can children should never have to deal with adult of sections throng the same children should be protected children should be treasured in love not exploited. It used so many of these kids on the back of milk cartons and have you seen this child Billboards on the highway or children have been sold in the six trafficking and that is a thin and it is wrong no matter how people try to normalize it you see You can blame people for their sin because they chose it even if it says there's a genetic Parker. I want to explain something very clearly you steal or the individual who must make a choice truth is we're responsible for our actions. There is no luxury and blaming others for your social economic or spiritual condition. Yes, I know people lie to you. That happens. Yes people teach you from their own ignorance. So if you were taught something was right and your parents didn't know any better. You were taught. Yes, people do teach you from their own ignorance. Yes, people can treat you and hurt you. The truth is those conditions won't change the reality of The Human Condition to fly off and start blaming others for your responses to a circumstance is as bad as what they did to you. When we blame other people for our circumstances or situation when we blame other people, we're lying to ourselves. We make choices you see

They were Liars in are liars. And we lie to ourselves making ourselves Liars when we blame others for our own response to them. I have to I have to check myself on a regular basis because my instincts are usually very wrong my response instinctual response. If you can get me in a lot of trouble, you know, it is ego superego. My instincts tend to be the ID and my ID is idiot. Okay write that down. My ID is an idiot cuz my instincts are based off of Selfishness do we have to put and bring that in under control? That's where the super-ego Sports.

Y'all act like man Jason that's like basic. I know I'm a basic person. But hang in there. We are responsible for our actions or send doesn't condemn God or made God guilty of arson. It condemns us and reveals our need for forgiveness. Why is Paul saying in these things? It's because Paul isn't going to misdirect people. This wasn't a fundraiser letter it appears. To be his theological explanation of what God did in the transformation of the Covenant God had with Israel expanding it through Grace to all people I should read that again.

I'm going to read it. Again is very important. It was a time when God spoke with Abram and had to deal with a broken you made it. They made a covenant things. You know, what in Hell walkthrough at the crater blood sacrifice and he said I will be your God and you will be my people and your your progeny will be more than the stands on the on the beach or are are the stars in the sky and God made a covenant with them and want to grab hold of this. The Covenant was it it Jewish people. We got totally people. But with Christ that expands at covenant and Paul is explaining that expansion to the people of wrote who are born Jewish who are still unsure their new-found faith their new discovered the Christ who could trace his lineage back to King David as well as to Abraham was it pure sacrifice and what he's doing here is that he is explaining how God transformed that coverage and expanded to include all of us. So let me read that again.

This wasn't a fundraising letter. It appears to be Paul's theological explanation of what God did in the transformation of the Covenant. God had with is expanding it through Grace to all people. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ part of the Holy Covenant and Paul will really nailed at home in Romans chapter 8 you want to read ahead feel free. I hope we make it around separate hung really slow with this but but check this out. Logan Paul pics the time talkin about the law. He is writing to people who were born Jewish and have become Christian. They're really familiar with the technicalities of the law. One morning I give to people is We can deal with Grace or we can be technical. I'm really great at technicalities. I'm the worst person technically. I will fight you over. an Oxford, If you don't know what that is, it's in the Constitution all over is beautiful.

They were two Jewish people were very big about technicalities because we're so many rules and regulations on how to live your life as if they understood how tough it was and they they would split hairs. Like you wouldn't believe, has dashes. Listing all of a sudden they really made legalization legalism of way of life. They made legalism a way of life. And so God is transforming the Saint Paul's writing to these people who are born under legalism, but they have become Christian is riding to I think Peter's Church affirming Peters teaching by providing detailed understanding of what it means to be a Christian in many ways. I see the book of Romans as a handbook of understanding your face. You actually look at Romans and go

Book of Romans really good

We are seeing clearly Paul's explanation of what send it and who can be a believer and we will quickly see Paul goes beyond that and shares what it means to struggle with two Natures in all of us. Pause one of the first people I've ever talked about two Natures insect. It would be what I believe it. When a person becomes a Christian the old nature is reluctant to leave with the struggle between what was our old nature and one got his growing in our nature will talk about that but Verse chapter verse 5 of this chapter reads, but some might say our sinfulness serves a good purpose for helps people to see how is it an unfair for him just for that. Dad I know you love me so much that's why I decided to break everything in the house would like to see how much you cared about my killing me then like something from a comedian right? You know how I got over my dad. I'm broke everything in the house just to prove he loves me. Know the logic doesn't work know what comes out when when the kid breaks everything but belt.

People today use the same kind of argument trying to excuse their behavior. Truth is people who like to use these arguments are often people who simply like to play games with other people like the toy with other people they will often assume that they are smarter and will with pride ask these kinds of question others will argue the point as a virtue believing that their sin being forgiven his permission to go do more sent. Both wrong if you track with either one of these arguments listen carefully. God doesn't need our sin. To show his righteousness. He is righteous regardless of our existence. Do you know if we didn't exist at all? God would still be righteous. It's a little cracked and Chuck the Moon. It has wiped us off this planet. It wouldn't be a failure on got the part. He would still be righteous if if the coronavirus mutated and killed all of us. We didn't even make it to be a, zombie become sad though. No zombies be nice if we just wipe the salt lamp. Got would still be righteous regardless of our circumstance. As a matter of fact righteousness is measured from his existence not our exist. Righteousness doesn't start with us. There's a big difference God is God is God God is righteous. And that is how we know is how we get a sense of what are true and just So it is righteousness is a measured from his existence. Not ours these very human Centric kinds of questions prove our sinful nature. The very fact that we try to accuse got to be an unrighteous are responsible for prove our need for forgiveness. It is in that need of forgiveness that his righteous proves who he is our sin proves who we are that make sense. You're following them with me have I totally lost everybody?

Just checking cuz sometimes I get lost. So hang in there with me but is measured by his existence not Arts and Humanities wants to know what righteous truly is. What righteousness truly is. We have to look away from ourselves away from creation to the very person of God only knowing god. Can we know what righteous? This is the only way to know God. The only way to to to know of God's true righteousness is to know Christ. It is through Christ. We understand what true righteousness is. We see how depraved we are and our need for his life as a sacrifice that we have to learn to discover again what righteousness that it emanates from God and then we needed a sacrifice we stand over here.

Receiving the gift of eternal life not deserving it that makes sense. Righteousness is from God price came from God because he's his one and only son who died on the cross in an effort to give us righteousness and put us in a place of being set right with God. It's called being redeemed, but we're Redeemed by God not by ourselves.

This is the thing about being a Christian. We are made righteous not because of our B. We are made righteous not because of our doing we are made righteous not because of our coming we are made righteous because of Christ coming of Christ be in Christ doing he came first as being born in a manger for filling scripture. He lived being perfect without sin. He was crucified doing the will of his father so that we might have salvation so that anyone who believes in him would be and will be saved. Our inability to be righteous. On our own is reinforced in scripture here in Romans chapter 3 verse 10 and it says a scripture say no one is righteous. Not even one. No one is truly wise. No one is seeking God all have sinned and turned away and all have become useless. No one does good. Not a single person and if you want to see that reiterated in scripture when Paul says it comes from scripture, it's coming from Psalm chapter 53 verse 3 and following where I can read that cuz we just read it, but you can look it up on your own write it on your skin. So you remember later?

And that your talk is foul like the stench of an open grave every time I read that particular verse every time I read it I think about the smell of bodies from Desert Storm along the roads in Iraq. I have known people who filed language reminds me of that smell they think of themselves as being righteous all on their own. They are not. We are not any different without accepting Christ as our savior. It really is simple when we measure our righteousness off of other people's opinion of us are or our action versus their actions. We fool ourselves.

It's like admiring two flat tires had two flat tires on the vehicle $25 used tires.

So I've had book pop at one time. And you admire the trip when we compare ourselves and our righteousness. It's like admiring the tread on two flat tires. They look good, but they can't hold the weight or are comparing the two to each other doesn't make one better than the other they are both flat and they are both useful. It's only when you compare them to a tire that is fully inflated and ready to carry its weight and do its weight. Do we realize how you really are? You look good compared to each other when you compared to what is right. What does could you realize those sweat tires are useless and you know, they're ready to be thrown in the dump or burned a week.

Bad history movie compared to the right tire good Tire. We realize that the flat tires were useless and that they really are useless without Christ. Listen without Christ. We are flat tires is righteousness makes us useful. Will do this ourselves. You see as flat tires. We are under the Judgment of the law those 10 command. We were unable to inflate ourselves through our own ability. Listen to what pulse is starting to verse 21, but now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law as promised in the writing of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for anyone who believes no matter who no matter who we are. I love that part no matter who we are let that sink in for a moment.

No matter who you are. No matter who I am no matter who's down the road anyone who believes this. It'll world today. Everyone seems to be pitted against each other and people take you perverse pleasure and chopping down other people because they don't believe the same political or racial Dogma. We are all absolutely equal before God all of us every single one of us comes to God. In need of a savior. We're all flat tires. We need. To the past tense up and make us new to take the old rubber off and put it on and put on new so that are Tire can be fully inflated and useful and we can have a purpose we we we we live in that world, but I love it. No matter who we are God is willing to forgive us of our sins. If we will simply accept and believe verse 23 makes it clear for everyone has sinned and we all fall short of God's glory standard yet God in his grace freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when we free when he freed us from the penalty of our sin. Forgot presented Christ Jesus as the sacrifice for sent a sacrifice that only matters once it is accepted now it is a choice is a choice. It's a choice to be righteous because of God and we must always recognized that it's not because of our own personal works so much of the original a reader's perspective was shaped by being made righteous because of their faith that required works so much that they were taught when they were growing up that is all about what you do. It's all about the legalism and the technicality of their day. Some of that was making its way in Christian Theology and worldview of the day, which is one of the reasons Paul's writing so explicitly explanation here divorces the understanding of righteousness from Humanity's control. You are not in charge of what your righteousness truly is. It comes from God and the only way if you have to accept it in order to have it it isn't based on Who We R Us got Silas it isn't based on who we were before salvation in Christ, but we become as a result of Christ sacrifice his sacrificed makes us righteous. Not anything. We do ourselves being things this way ships are understanding away from our abilities. Enterprise

now artist ask for help. But this is it. This is it in divorce by this is not about a guilt trip. By the way. It's about our need for salvation. We need forgiveness. We need salvation Salvation demands righteousness. We are unable to produce righteousness are out because of God's love Christ becomes the source of Salvation via his life and his sacrifice fulfilling the law completely something we were incapable of doing. In doing this we can accept the gift of God salvation that will that will by its nature make us righteous. Notice, I'm not saying make a self righteous. You're being around self-righteous people. I am holier than you. We live in a world where people are like that. Righteousness is not self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is based on your own doing and it is prideful. That's okay. So I'm not singing self-righteous. That's just prideful and sinful in our faith in Christ. It is is it in our faith in Christ is the lawful field to fulfill we start with Christ not ourselves. We surrender to our inability to overcome the highest standard of the law that keeps righteousness Out Of Reach. Truly mystically in our surrender and acceptance of Christ as God one has got the one and only son and as our savior the law is then full field on our behalf. And as a person we are then made righteous by God. You understand that you grab that repeat it in our surrender and acceptance of Christ as God's one and only son and as our savior the law is then fulfilled on our behalf and has a person we are then made righteous by God. We're safe. We're we're giving Grace you seek. There's to be connected to God demands righteousness. But it's a Christ to die on the cross for righteousness to be made available. It takes our acceptance of Christ to receive God's righteousness. We don't do it ourselves, you know, because if we could do it ourselves, we would demand salvation as a reward or outcome of our own behavior would be like no guy, you know, I'm right just look at all the stuff I did give it to

You can turn you have to receive it as a result of Christ forgiveness. We would not need God if we can do it ourselves, right? We would not need God and we would be the Arrogant one who would buy our own logic try to replace God by our own doing. You think you think would listen that would be the send the devil committed and we would then fall and lose all righteousness. Even if we fulfilled the law and we demanded to do something we would end up being so arrogant that we would think we could replace God and that's exactly what the devil tried and why the devil is in hell? Listen salvation is only found in Christ not by our own. You didn't you and I didn't deserve it and we don't get it except that we can receive it by accepting. This is why we never in the service at the Rock Community Church without giving people the opportunity to Frazee. Yes, prayer the yes person. Yes to all of God and know to ourselves really truly. We also pray this prayer out loud. It would pray together so that nobody is ever put on the spot. Nobody is ever made to feel like they've been single that we want you to have an intimate moment with Jesus Christ. So if you would repeat after me dear God I know I need a savior. I cannot save myself.

Jesus I accept your gift of salvation

I say yes to you Jesus. I accept you a savior. Jesus it is in your name. I pray.
