Introduction

The quality and depth of our spirituality (the strength and maturity of our relationship with God) is exposed during adversity.

Character flaws that are easily concealed during normative times will demonstrate themselves during difficult days.

Temptation to feed the flesh of human selfishness and fear becomes an ever-present problem that we cannot ignore.

We need God to redirect our life and our future.

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Jude 20 ESV

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,

I want to linger with these two verses of Scripture—with the theme of my faith encountering the Holy Spirit

Living by faith is living by the Holy Spirit.
