In order to be a healthy and whole person we must come to trust that we are full of divine worth. We are created by God and He has made us with intention. We are worth something not because of what we do, but because we are God’s handwork.

Love God, Love People

Last week we started a series of studies based on the principle found through out the Bible
Matthew 22:37–40 CSB
He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
Last week we learned
No one loves you more than God
The benefits of God's Love are unmeasurable
This Relationship allows the others to take place

Love God, Love People

One sententnce that can radically change the world. Five words that form a hinge (what good is a door without a hinge?) for your life. I think they can relate to at at least 3 categories of relationships. Our Vertical Relationship, Our Internal Relationship, and our Horizontal relationship. Tonite we will unpack the Internal Relationship. So, lets pray as we get started tonite.

Internal Relationship

Coke

How many of you like Coke? How many of you have heard of Coke? Maybe you have heard of the cola wars? In 1985 the leadership of Coca-Cola met with a consultant. The reconsidered what Coke meant The leadership team drew a box on a white board and tried putting various words in that box to encapsulate the essence of coke in a single word. The team landed on the word Taste.
So coke began taste tests and settled on an new soft drink flavor that in their extensive testing tasted better than Coke and Pepsi.
What do you think happened?
When New Coke was announced the american public’s reaction was negative. People began stockpiling Old Coke fearing they would never be able to buy it again.
Two weeks Later they erased the word taste from the white board and a had a new conversation about Coke’s identity. They replaced the word taste with a new word “tradition.” Coke realized who they already were.
Coke tried on a false identity
I believe people easily believe false statements about themselves like
I am what i have
I am what I achieve
I am what others say
We buy the lies of consumerism, and what anybody on social media.
We are making the same mistake coca-cola did and I think when you know who you your internal relationship with Christ begins to florish.
what words can you put in the box on the white board for your life?
Last week we learned tha God Lived us first so what is a word that describes that?

Beloved

Romans 5:8 CSB
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Son/ Daughter; Heir

Galatians 4:4–7 CSB
When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then God has made you an heir.
In a loving relationship with God

Valuable

Far too often I see people who have heard to Love God and Love people neglect the fact that they are a people. I know that’s not great grammar, but it makes a great point you are all are people and you are valuable.
Lets Pray
you loved a Sinner like me
made me an Heir
allowed me to call you daddy
made me an heir
