Unconditional Election

Eph 1:2-14
God is holy
God is to be feared
God also has untouchable grace
Predestination and election for what? “to the praise of his glory.”
“You’re so valuable!” The true story is so much better.
No extravagant testimony is not necessary but shows more of God’s grace.
God’s grace is so profound and so restrictive to man that people don’t like to hear it (“clears the parking lots”)
It’s something that can’t be made up because it’s beyond human thought; in the sense that no human would make this up and want to live by it
It makes man so small and feeble and God so big and sovereign
“Only God? That’s offensive!”
We like to be the sovereign. Proof? Adam and Eve
They wanted to be “like God”. They wanted to heighten their value and were not satisfied with God has done with them.
God doesn’t choose us because of what we’ve done. He chooses based on His own will.
Eph 2 says that we are dead in trespasses and sins and we are children of wrath. Then it continues by saying that we were saved by GRACE through FAITH. These are gifts from God, nothing we mustered up on our own.
Very important to know the detriment of sin. If you get this wrong, it will change how your view everything.
Jn 6:44
Man cannot come to the Father by himself. He must be drawn. And when he is drawn, Jesus will raise him up on the last day. NO WAY Jesus loses anyone to their “free will”.
Rom 3:10-11
Seeker-sensitive churches. Bad strategy because no one seeks for God.
Rom 8:1-8
If you’re in Christ by faith, there is no condemnation for you.
You cannot submit to God’s law while being the flesh
1 Cor 2:14
No surprise to hear “idiot!” when we preach the Gospel
Monergism - God saves
Synergism - Man and God works together for salvation
Bible teaches Monergism
God exercises sovereignty in actively ordaining everything
God’s sovereignty

Gn 45:5
Gn 50:20

1 Tim 5:21
Ex 6:7
Dt 7:6-8
Fair? It’s mercy and grace
Why? Love.
God chooses individuals to salvation
Ps 65:4
Mt 24:24
Jn 6:37
According to the text, which comes first: those who go to God or those whom God makes come?
God chooses people that He will allow to stay in their sins and experience condemnation. Controversial but let God’s word speak and not your thoughts and traditions
Ex 4:21
Rom 13
Rom 9:17-18
Rom 9:21-22
1 Pet 2:8
What’s God motivation in election? Because He wanted to.
if you’re not concerned with the glory of God and not concerned with making much of Him, you won’t be satisfied with that idea and you never will be.
If you’re about God, you’ll be just fine with that idea
Eph 1:5
Why? To display His glory
Is 43:6-7
Rom 9:21-24
1 Co 1:27-31
Eph 2:4-7
Why is this so important? Why are the Reformed beliefs so important? Why do we can so much about preserving the grace of God? Because of what the text says.
Jn 6:28-44
Jn 10:7-29
Question isn’t “Am I chosen?”
The question is “Do you see Jesus and know your sin and desire Him?”
Here’s the call, Jesus is the perfect savior so repent of your sins and trust in Him.
This should encourage you to worship and evangelize
100% success rate!
