I’ve been asked a lot about the prophetic significance of much of what is happening around us.
We’ve been living in the last days since Jesus went to heaven.
There is nothing that needs to happen prophetically before Christ comes for His Church.
Prophecy about Jesus was missed, misunderstood, dismissed, and misinterpreted. I personally think we should be careful about trying to nail down too many of the details concerning the End Times.
Titus 2:11–14 HCSB
11 For the grace of God has appeared with salvation for all people, 12 instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 14 He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people for His own possession, eager to do good works.
Prophecy was never intended to scare, divide, or be the subject of arguments. IT WAS GIVEN SO WE KNOW ABOUT OUR BLESSED HOPE
But what do we do in the meantime before Christ comes back.?
We spend the time

Waiting

Who does that well? But trust me it will be worth the wait.
We go through hard time
It Will Be Worth It All
Sometimes the day seems long, Our trials hard to bear. We’re tempted to complain, to murmur and despair. But Christ will soon appear to catch his bride away! All tears forever over in God's eternal day!
CHORUS: It will be worth it all when we see Jesus! Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ. One glimpse of his dear face, all sorrow will erase. So, bravely run the race till we see Christ.
IT’s worth the wait!

Hopeful

Titus 2:13 HCSB
13 while we wait for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Some translations have verse 13 saying waiting for our blessed hope, (emphasize comma) the glorious appearing.
I think this is good- Our Blessed Hope that we are waiting on is the glorious appearing.
Hopeful- Hope- Such a positive word.
The word could also be translated expectation.
When a young lady has a baby on the way, we politely say she is expecting. The day is coming. Its gets closer every day. The moments tick. The misery increases. And then the baby decides. The mom is expecting. The baby decides when.
The Christian is expecting. Jesus decided when. We wait… Hopeful. The time is closer every day.
Are you expecting Jesus to come any day now? Sometimes I look at Christians and they look like they are expecting a prison sentence, not heaven with Jesus forever.
We are expecting just any moment our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ to come and get us.

Living Godly Lives

Titus 2:11–14 HCSB
11 For the grace of God has appeared with salvation for all people, 12 instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 14 He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people for His own possession, eager to do good works.
We leave off godlessness and worldly lusts
We pick up sensible, righteous, godly living.
Jesus didn’t just rescue us from Hell. He bought us out of our own lawlessness, cleaned us up. and made us His own possession and he expects us to be eager to do good works.
We don’t know when the Lord will return. We are supposed to be living for Him on a daily basis. Saved, serving, and ready to go when He Comes.
