Remembering the Cost

Jesus was the only one besides the Father who was aware of what HE was about to go through. The intensity of that an ti ci pat ion of his physical death and separated from the Father because of the sins world, must have been so painful that he literally sweat blood. When he was carrying that reality the betrayal of Judas and the rejection from His disciples. we need to remember the cost of what Jesus did so that we can truly value His gift to us.
remembering all that He went through in the days leading up to His death also paints a picture of how to walk through pain. These moments in the life of Jesus are so brutal and yet so beautiful.
Jesus knew that Peter would deny Him.
Jesus Knew that Judas was going to betray him.
But Yet He still sat down to a meal with them and shared communion.
so we remember of the way that He walked through betrayal. If Jesus can do that then He’s offering us a model for how to deal with hurst and grievances. He’s showing how his love can overcome..
There is a weight to remembering the cost that Jesus paid.
His body was broken for us
His blood was poured out for us.
His blood is suff ic ent for anything we are going through . Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be free and made whole.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come
