He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none.
Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’
But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ”
Bear Fruit- fruit off spring.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

The tree that does bear fruit is on the same row as the tree that is producing fruit, got the same sunshine, the same water, planted in good ground......all of the trees in the same church im sorry i mean garden.
I’m planted in good ground. I know this church is good ground i was raised up in this church. Ive been in this church since 2006 some body do the math......how many years. 14 years. I’ve been a pastor for 4 years. You can get where God called you in this garden. And i was a wild plant that needed alot of pruning.

The purpose of the fig tree was to bear fruit there is another story in Mathew were Jesus goes to get fruit off of a fig tree and it has none and he curses it and it withers and dies because it did not have its purpose.
Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Fig tree bears fruit 10 months of the year. and it produces fruit quickly.
if you follow the word of God and his will you will produce fruit. If we act like Jesus we are going to produce fruit quickly love joy peace.....

The digging is the Holy spirit. That difficult person he’s using to sharpen you. That situation at work he’s using to make you abetter employee
That family memeber that is hard to love he is using to make you love difficult people. He can use the stuff the fertilizer the stuff that is uncomfortable the stuff that we dread the stuff that depresses us to prune us to give us what we need to grow.
